IIRC it was a character that would be unique to the top 100 on that PvP event
or a specific card
It was a long time ago, I can't remember

 I look at that archives. Sadly whatever it would have been was vague. So I'm not sure. For whats coming. Its coming be a lot easier to keep track of who gets the prizes.

I hope that Oversoul does kick off again very well for both AE and all of the players who play the game and will play the game. This could actually be second best to AQ3D if not better. I really liked Oversoul from the beginning and I hope Nulgath can one day return to his creation. Best of luck and thanks for trying your best.

...Errr...what IS Void Wars? War system? PVP? A group of Void Knights hitting each other over the head with Ballon mallets?

It looks like looking at the tags it has something to do with both Wars and PVP. But I'm wondering what exactly that means. Is it going to be omething like Epicduel, where a war is released with two different sides and you fight for the side you want? Is it oing to be more complex then that, with more of a interesting and slightly more complex War System? Is it "merely" a fight to the death beween two sides? if we are not hiding it anymore, I'd ike to know a bit more on how it will work.

 @Mritha and/or Kiyone: Before I be totally disappointed, will we be restricted to using only Voids, Fiends, Revontheuses, and Shadow Nulgath or will we be able to use ANY character in this war?

Fell asleep typing this last night but if I had to guess this war would require us to enter the nightmare dungeon with a new option from oblivion or Nulgath and each void we kill while inside will add to the count. I could see this bringing new players cause we have a legit goal.

Could it be possible we do an idea I suggested a few months ago the 25% new monster release ever 25% of the war done a new form for a character would be added at the 100% its legendary form being released and it being a F2P character?

I don't get how the hints aimed at this though. I support differnet war types though a everyone vs the game war, a pick a side war which still have the rank every 25% only the winning side would have a different monster for these tournaments only show the first form of each monster and every 25% reveal the new form to the community. I kind of think if you show the legendary everyone would automatically just go for the side that looks cooler.

Well, Kioyne confirmed there will be prizes, but noone knows what those prizes will be yet. Or what you get them for. Do you get them for competing? For certain goals? Only for Victory? What WILL the prizes be?

You may want to stop reading at this point.


The Void Wars event. Will be our biggest and toughest forum based pvp tournament for Oversoul. Where depending on the outcome of the tournament and the special event the tournament winner will unlock. Will actually effect things in game, physical and story wise. This is something Mritha and I have been working with the AE team with. To give you guys that one epic release you all deserve.

Now why this is called the Void Wars and not just the Tenth Oversoul PVP Tournament. While the tournament theme is Minions of Nulgath. By itself is not epic enough. So we decide to make this a civil war. Which the story element with upcoming design note post will explain the civil war. But thats story side of things and we need to get you guys truly motivated. To make you restless fighters want to tear each other limb from limb and realize whats going on is for real and not to hold back any longer. So we been approved for actually prize support. The way were doing the prizes is for the winner only. Where still checking about second place but for now their won't be particpant rewards given the volume of players were expecting. Its being done this way to encourage the importance of the event. By making you all strive to win the tournament. Where the tournament winner will win a lot of soul gems. Have a statue of their winning character in game added. The winner will be joing Dante up their. The permission to particpant in a special bonus event. Which will have additional prizes for tournament winner. Assuming they can beat it.

So thats what coming and I hope you guys are ready. Sign ups, design notes, and rules are going be hopefully posted next Friday. Granted it could be not next Wednesday but the follow Wednesday incase we have issue with the design note stuff. Granted we may get lucky and have it posted sooner. So thats your heads up and before warn were expecting people coming out of the wood work for this and I'm going make sure every player who participates has a fair chance of winning this.

So good luck everyone! I'll be waiting for you on the battlefield.

Now I need to determine the strongest Minion of Nulgath, best card customisation for it, get it to level 20, practise my A game against other players...

Looks like Blood archifends revolts starts when this war begins.

If the winner picks the event and by pick you mean come up with are own event. Revolt of Blood archfiend revolts against Nulgath in the process awakening his legendary blood archfiend form and destroying legions of Nulgath army explaning why he hasn't completely overcome the OS world since he does have hundreds of thousands if not millions of soldiers he could of destroyed OS with by now and I'll include the fact he was somewhat weakened after the battle with Dage. Nulgath wouldn't die though but he would be greatly weaken after fighting a fiend who feeds off souls and blood.

Kiyone, if I may make a request?

Can we include some kind of Avenue for other modes of competition? For example, I'm really more of a writer then a fighter and would love to have a competiton alongside this for content related to the Void Wars's STORY section. Artwork for it, or writing, or something I may stand a ghost of a chance at.

Honestly, I'm not gonna lie: while the There Can be Only One Cash Prize is a good thing for competition, getting people in ETC, it's done nothing but put pressure on me for me. I feel like I have to enter and have to win, and I was not a fan of the tourney system in the first place due to so many rules putting pressure on me, and now this doubles it. I had hoped for some kind of faction system, or war system, something that I could aid people in and reap the benefits while not being too panicy, but this is too much pressure for me. I feel pressured to enter too, since I want that prize, so I can't just walk away and not let it get to me. DX

I still say
Get a top X and give them minor prizes aswell
would be a better incentive

Drakath fiend is just drakath after being killed by the hero and having his body found by Nulgath and changed.

Shadow has so many generic decks it would be best to keep him out of this so it isn't just a one character to rule them all kind of thing.

When did Drakath get killed by the hero?

Anyway, I hope some other powerful shadow characters can be used, because the only level 20 fiend I have is Blood Fiend.

the jop: he may be referencing AQ where he got killed and then became a dragon.
