If I already have Windter Crown as my damage boosting misc for weapon attacks and spells, is there any real benefit (outside of no SP cost) to getting the Blood Contract misc? If there is a benefit to using Blood Contract, is it enough to warrent switching from Windter Crown to Blood Contract for general questing and activities?

Blood Contract is on the discontinued multiplicative standards, inflation occurs when other multiplicative or additive boosts are present, which are Gnome Staff, Angelic and Ruby Rain/Golem.

So what I'm getting here is that using effects that apply freezing/elemental vulnerability with Blood contract will scale better than with Windter Crown. If that's the case then, how would the two multiplicative standards compare, since it still sounds like you're getting a 20% damage boost. I don't quite know how the new system works in that regard.

Using the previous standards of no proc *1.09 and +9% as an example, they stack with Crown differently.
125*1.2*1.09/1.1 = 148.63% melee
125(1+.2+.09)/1.1 = 146.59% melee

So with this example, is blood contract considered a multiplicative boost, or an additive boost, and is Windter Crown a multiplicative or additive boost? It sounds like you are implying that Blood Contract is multiplicative, i.e. 125(1.2*1.09)/1.1=148.63%, and that Windter Crown is Additive i.e. 125(1.2+0.09)/1.1= 146.59%. Is this correct to my understanding? If that's the case, then yes, there seems to be a marginal benefit that could definitely scale higher if the armor/weapon's stats were a higher percentage. Not to mention the fact that an increased SP regen would benefit you more in longer fights, as that is more weapon/armor skills you could effectively cast in a fight.

The example is a minor representation of additive boost of Crown, it takes at least three and above boosts to better understand how fast multiplicative boosts scales.

Lets have an example with four boosts where we include multiplicative/additive Booster Guest 36% and Pet 24%.
125*1.2*1.36*1.24*1.09/1.1 = 250.66% for both multiplicative and additive no proc with either Contract or Crown
125(1+.2+.09)*1.36*1.24*1/1.1 = 247.21% for additive no proc and Crown
125(1+.36+.24)*1.2*1.09/1.1 = 237.81% for Contract and multiplicative no proc
125(1+.2+.36+.24)*1.09/1.1 = 222.95% for Crown and multiplicative no proc
125(1+.2+.09+.36+.24)/1.1 = 214.77% for all additives

From the numbers you're using, it looks like if the boosters are all multiplicative outside of crown, the numbers for both Crown and Contract will be the same. However, if you're using an additive boost on top of using Crown, you'll be getting less of a result than if you used Contract. Sounds like on a case by case basis, Contract is the safer option to use, however, if all other boost effects are multiplicative, the end result will be the same. I do see that, generally with Items like chieftain, you'll get more of a boost with Contract than with Crown, so I think that answers my question.

Tl;dr: Crown is additive, Contract is multiplicative. I think we're good here, question's answered.
