 Well I've had it twice now. I switch from trial to trial. I haven't posted here to much because there is nothing much for me to post about. I'm not having any enigmas for anyone to solve at the moment.

Well Id be more than happy if you could give me a simple actionscript tutorial thats easy to follow... I hope thats not asking to much. All i know is how to make cursors and Buttons (from your previous tutorials) Thanks

 What do you want to learn of action script? There is so much that it can't all be taught in a simple guide.

pretty good, like your ideas for the game, im adding to the 'japanese anime fighting arena/super flying lasershooting pigs movie' movie.

well, sometimes getting another email address like in www.myway.com works if you're finishing something, wel, i have the full copy so im fine. otherwise sorry if you dont have it now, (confused whether you do or not)

w00t! i found a computer screen recording software AT LAST *does a dance, stops feeling awkward* well.....yeah, i have it so i'll start doing the recordings on the weekends (hey, school comes first lol) its called camtasia studio something

 u guys are doin a great job here, i'll be putting the battle tutorial into use in the near future, prolly expand on it a bit to do more advanced stuff with variables, but i would've never have got the basics of it it if it wasn't for you. I wanna try making a game similar to battleon, so that will help quite a lot.

I'm doing a course which involves programming in college and i'm desperately trying to incorporate flash into it, we're using freakin' VB and a dos language called Pascal, both of which are pretty sucky, but Pascal is closely related to other high level languages so it's givin me some good experience. anyway, just wanted to congratulate/thank you guys on some of the great tuts here

 A battle tutorial? Cool. I can help with integrating some stuff I used in my recent suggestion update in my sig 2 posts up if you need me.

@Valgaera: I feel as though I owe you, cuz I have been busy and haven't answered your post and PM. Here is what you do...

Here is where the color thing is: on the property bar... http://img176.imageshack.us/my.php?image=step13zh.jpg

Just change the Alpha to 0% to make the snow look as if it isn't there... http://img176.imageshack.us/my.php?image=step25uj.jpg

Then do a motion tween with the snow staying where it is, but the alpha changing to 100% for a keyframe or two... http://img176.imageshack.us/my.php?image=step30og.jpg

And then tween it back to 0% for the next scene.

I knew that my battle tut would be helpful to flash users, i mean we all play AQ and want our sugestions in it, so why not make your own, anyway sadly i worded it realy badly, I auctually submitted it in another forum before this one so i rushed it... but it seems to help people so im satisfied....

well it doesnt matter for the pic links cause i'll be replacing them with video links W00T im so glad

i use flash MX 2004, im not getting that new fancy flash studio 8 one

saraid, i'll add you to flash users list

im also gonna make a (website) look to the first post where its gonna be a big flash thing with links and stuff web format

for the blurring text is it going from regular to blur, or just automatically blur

i'll make the tuts in this post later

 here's an odd question..is it possible to work backwards and create an .fla file from a .swf? i need to extract some things from a swf file but i dont have the original fla file.

no, you cant, i tried it with just one of mine and it doesn't work, its like saying taking someone elses typed paper and trying to edit by stuffing it back into the printer (before the invention of the scanner came out..so maybe they'll come out with a way to edit it in the future)
i opened it with the flash program itself but once you export/publish it, there is no turning back

 well, i tried out that tut, heres what i got, didn't do the pics or anim, got help from a mate for that

Yeah.....i don't have a death scene, wer prolly gonna wrk on that later, n we dnt have an enemy attack, but, what u think so far?

EDIT: dang it, im having problems uploading a gif file of my video on photobucket so this had to make due

the best thing you can do is make the width 800, well back to the drawing board
