Hm, I guess I have a question (maybe not). Do you think, perhaps, there should be some form of literacy test for new users? Not seriously, but perhaps... But I realize that there are some people who do not speak English as a first language, but it's really sad to see someone who speaks English fluently (supposedely) but they make some of the worlds most broken and unreadable sentences. Most people don't bother me too much, but sometimes you run across some posts that make you wonder if the persons cat typed it or not...

Many of our users come from countries where English is a second or third language. I'd rather the users be more patient of those that haven't polished thier english skills than deny those members the ability to ask thier questions.

Edit: Whoops, after re-reading my post, I'll bet it came off that I was a bit annoyed by people from other countries. Believe me, that was unintended. I meant that people whose major language was English usually have worse grammer than people who have taken it as an additional language. Yeah, sorry if it seemed the other way, I didn't mean to offend anyone if I did.

Well I find that there is a fine line between "leet" and "noobish"...most people get the two mixed up...in either case these people either cant spell and are not too good at typing, are too lazy to type, or have an IQ of 4...anyway on topic...


  • It has to annoy you that the General Board is a huge spam pool (it does me...) filled with posts that do not belong, but I have seen them move as if automatically, is this the work of the 9 new mods, a filter, or something else?

    This is partially the work of the 9 new mods, but I think the main reason is the addition of ArchKnights to the board. The ArchKnights were added the same day and embedded with minor moderator capabilities without them being members of the AdventureQuest team.

  • There is a fine line as to what goes in General, anything related to AQ that does not fall under the other boards goes to it right? Then this also means it is just like OOC, except that it should have only AQ things, yet I have seen some "belonging" topics get deleted about 3 seconds after making it (Making it harder for me to get first post, which I was going well enough to answer most questions and let the thread die...but they went in strat anyway) why is this?
  • As AQ grows, it gets harder and harder to get titles (one has to be lucky and quiet well known...) but I have seen people who sign up and 3 weeks later get "helpful", is this because the staff was not busy at the moment and was able to give out titles or are they just bless with undying luck?

    They were lucky enough that an AQ-team member noticed them when they were not busy. I am not the only person who does the titles.

  • Well I have a knack for posting long-winded posts, so I will keep this one short...How are you? Does AQ have any negative effect on your life (like feeling as if it is your second job)

    Occasionally it does, especially when I use too much time on the computer. Sometimes my husband feels I'm addicted to the internet.

  • Did you actually read all that and what not?
  • Do you own any pets? If so, what are they and what are their names?

    I have two dogs and a cat, I'd rather not give thier names.

What state are you in (USA) or what country actually, when you mentioned Augusta Maine, I got curiose becuase I too am from Maine.

I'm currently in Denmark, but I have been in many US states and many countries.

You mentioned something about Augusta, Maine before. That's where I live. Did you enjoy Augusta?

Augusta was beautiful, but I preferred the people I was with to the landscape.

What time of the year did you come?

Winter, it was the first time I ever saw snow.

i love that movie, but seriously here is my question. Why do u stay as a mod if there is no pay(i least i'm guessing there is no pay)? Dont you need to earn a living for your children?


Do you expect pay for your hobby? I earn money from the Danish state for going to school and my husband collects a paycheck.

If ya should make a guess, how many Danish player do you think is playing on AQ?

Except translation, where are you currently focused mostly on AQ, Your programming or Forum adminstrator ?

I'd prefer to leave programming to the programmers. I'm best with people, so I prefer to administrate the forums.

No, Danish is Dansk. German is a completely different language.

2.you wont all my money if you do, load it off my char beacuse i got no use for it.

I couldn't do it if I wanted to and I don't want to.

3.Can you post a pic of a flutterby beacuse i never really seen one beacuse i always end up buying the wroung pet.

Please keep the questions serious... I think this "meet the mods" thingy is an awesome idea, but they might remove it if some of you fill it with "gimme gold" and stuff like that... People, please stop ^^
