ORIGINAL: Alex fey Shadeslayer You said that you are working on/getting your master in divinities? What excatly does that entail? Extensive study of biblical languages, extensive study of scripture, study of world religions, study of homiletics, theology, soteriology, and exegesis. Internship for a body of some sort related to religion in some manner. Are you christian, catholic, protestant? Both Catholics and Protestants are Christians. I am a baptized American Baptist. I was raised in the Society of Friends. I have served in both the United Methodist and Episcopal Churches. I am a received Episcopalian. I believe strongly in the apocatostasis. I have little concern for denomination labels but I actually think that denominational diversity enriches and benefits the church. What do you plan to do with your master in divinities? As said elsewhere I am on hold as far as the internship and highest level classes go. I have returned to Pennsylvania. I am not sure when and if I will ever finish my degree but the studies I have made serve me quite well in my day job So you were baptised a slightly more liberal version of my denomination (i'm Independant Baptist) That is cool. You were raised a Quaker? Sorry if that name is offensive. What denomination are you now? What church do you attend? What the mess is apocatostasis? Sorry, I'm an unlearned seventeen year old country preacher, I havn't been to Bible College yet and do not know many technical terms. Both Catholics and Protestants are Christians. For instance, most people do not consider Baptists and Pentecostals ect. Protestant, because most protestants believe in salvation by works as well as faith. I take it you would consider yourself a Protestant? Do you preach? What is your favorite passage of the Bible? (If you care, my favorite verses are Isaiah 26: 3-4)
