If you say so. Certainly some definition systems would place it in that manner. The same ones which largely consider any magic that is not specifically done to help it's reciever as black. In my mind such things are pointless distinctions. Morality cannot be so easily distilled. Intention is but one part of a larger scheme. Things which are well intentioned but cause massive harm are still negative.

I meant Grey magick, not as in evil, but there are all kinds of magick, grey, yellow, etc. You are a Loremaster, a Storyteller, therfore that's Grey.

(Yellow is Divination)

In some systems I am sure it is. Certainly Mr. Issac Bonewits uses such a color for divination. Though it is not part of the more classical paradigms.

Who was your first major character, either in a story you wrote or in a roleplay setting? I suppose that could be two different answers.. What was his/her story, and do you continue to use him/her or have you laid the character to rest in favor of more developed ones?

A dramatized version of myself. And yes he is more or less retired

Wait... have you ever actually laid a character to rest, for good? It seems to be a rare occurrence, if it ever happens at all. What were the circumstances, if it has occurred?

I have had characters die rather finally. The circumstances tend to be quite dark

Studs, hoops, barbells, cuffs, or other?

Hoop singular, Cross, Lightning Bolt, or Balls but not often

Now, in honor of the season...

Have you ever:
- Baked pumpkin seeds? How'd they turn out?

When it worked tasty. When it did not like Charcoal

- Gone to a pumpkin patch? What do you look for in a pumpkin when selecting one, if so?

Unusual shape and color

- Run through a hay/corn maze? Did you get lost?

I keep wanting to but invariably end up not. I have been through hedgerow mazes before but not recently. I found my way out obviously

1)Where were you born?

That depends on whether you mean the Staff person or the NPC. The NPC was born on the World of Caelestia. The Staff Person was as an accident of his fathers schooling born in Richmond, Indiana but is not a hoosier in any sense having lived there for less then a month. Both of my parents are from Long Island New York and it was on Long Island, New York that I spent my early childhood

2)Where do you get inspiration?

3)Did you choose the name LoreMaster, or did Artix and the gang just give it to you?

Something of both as I recall

4)Any AE company picnics?

Not as of yet. Though we often suggest we need to gather for such a thing.

Presumably I will die. Whether my character dies at that point is open to interpretation

In some ways quite different in others much the same. There is no looking back though. The future is too exciting for that.

Just how powerful (in-game like) are the Paxia Clan leaders? Are they as powerful as the average player or more like...say...Carnax?

1. Because I have written a story (albeit a poor one but still) I know how difficult it is to find inspiration for a story, and how hard it is to keep your audience engaged. What do you use for inspiration? And, what do you do when you find yourself with writer's block, or when you have difficulty when trying to think of the next point in the story?

Inspiration comes from everything. I have not had a problem quite like writers block. When I need a break I take it and then come back fresh

Hey Falerin, I was just wondering about this. Do you make up the main part of the storyline for all 3 games or only AQ? And depending on that, exactly how much have you made and have you made more than just the storylines?(Love the games btw)

All 3 answered elsewhere. My primary work is on AQ but I work on AE storyline so I work with all 3 and do tasks as assigned. Way more then already seen in game. Yes I definitely have. Quest systems, puzzle design, and some other stuff but you shall have to wait till frostval for that.

Hello Falerin,

These questions concern your real life role with AE, rather than your in-game character.

(1) Do most of the staff of AE work together in one geograpic location where you host your own servers, or do you all just network interact with each other through the Internet to run the various AE websites, or a bit of both?

The last of those

(2) Roughly how many staff does the company have? (part time, full time, other)

30ish if one counts volunteers

(3) If you interact with the other staff largely through the Internet, roughly how many of the current staff would you have met in person? and (4) how many do you meet regularly (and (5) how often)?

Few, None Really, Infrequently

I cannot say that I base my writing around any particular authors. I draw inspirations from all over though.

I have a few questions to ask a fellow storyteller such as yourself.

Have you ever ran out of schemes/musings regarding AQ and tried to pick at other people's inspiration to spark more schemes for stories?

If you are allowed to, would you provide us with more information about the event thatt is mentioned in the Dragon Fable's Ruins of Kordana quest as "The Reset"? I've got my own theories (which are probably absolutely DEAD WRONG with what little information I have thus far), but I wouldn't mind a bone thrown my way here. (Not litterally, though. >_>)

Probably won't get answered because of potential spoilers, but is the character you play in MQ the character that is 'reset' to become the character you play as in DF?

If you don't wanna give them here, I'll gladly accept a PM with the info. I swear on my dragon, Lunari Empyrea, I will keep my mouth shut about them. (And *insert-who-you-believe-in-here* knows I value her too much, WAAAY too long a story as to why, as in a year's worth. >_>)
