I have decided to write this guide after seeing numerous questions popping up each time a new holiday event comes around. Hopefully, this guide can help shed light on those areas, as well as fill in the gaps for any holidays you have missed. It's our job to travel through the various sectors of Mortis, collecting candy and clues about the villain. After farming through the minions of the Doom Rider, you will eventually accumulate these clues: Crane, A Shovel, Footprints, and The "Head". With all the clues in your possession, you can now battle the Headless Horseman. Travel around and defeat enemies, eventually the Horsemech will show up. Can you beat him? -2010- Part 1- This year, we return to Mortis to take on Shelley, a bride of Frankenstein-like enemy. Travelling through the Arkham Cemetery, Parcathian Mountains, and Mortenwood, searching for keys in each respective area. Making our way through each area, searching various maps and defeating enemies to progress through rooms, until the keys are recovered. In the mountains, it is a straight shot to the key which is hidden in the cave. The Mortenwood key is found after a series of rooms. First up, then left, then the next up, left again, and up. In the final room, there is a chest containing the Mortenwood key. In the Arkham Cemetery, head straight right until you can go no further. Then turn up, and left, followed by another left and up. There will be a building you enter and thus begins the on foot portion of this quest. Travel forward, and on either side of the locked door, you will find the levers needed to unlock the door. Travel in to receive the third key. With all three keys under your belt, travel to Shelley's Lair. From the entrance, head left, then straight forward until you find a door. This door is another case of lever-induced unlocking mechanisms. The first lever is to the right, the second is to the left and up, and the third is to the left and down. Once you've activated all three levers, head back to the door and pass through it. Finally, you can battle Shelley. Defeat her to complete this year's first installment of the Mortis Storyline! Of course you know, this means WAR!!!- Jack Springstein has made his way to Soluna! It's a Mogloween war! Take part in battles, as well as a new, Jet Set Radio-type minigame in which you must push the arrow keys on your keyboard in coordination with the arrows on screen. Part 2- Speak to Jack to help out Chief Duncan. It seems that Cain S. Lupus has escaped and is at large once more! Defeat him to be able to access the Salvage shop and purchase the Rockin' Werewolf mecha! Evil Jim isn't done yet! After another war, including random battles with the Skelepunk, it's time to battle the evil rockstar. An irregular style fight, the regular-sized Evil Jim, suspended on a rope, is now your opponent. Evil Jim puts up a good fight considering he is a human fighting a giant robot. Once you get his health down, he will unleash an attack that reduces both your health and his to 1. Make sure you don't miss and defeat him to be able to access the new Mod shop. Wise Words- Make sure to pick up the Mortis Starship Map to be able to return to Mortis at any time throughout the year! Turkeys, controlled by various helmets and brain slugs have run amuck along a turkey-shaped comet which is hurtling towards Soluna. Turkageddon, it's war! This year, we meet up with Braddock Steele and take on the Turkeys! It is not guaranteed that any rares will come back until confirmed by staff members, either in the Design Notes, Newsletter, Social Networking Sites, Etc. The best way to find out, is to keep an eye on those areas. 2) Should I buy_____? Holiday rares are generally better than any items you can pick up everyday. Whether it be by powerful specials, great attacks, etc. The best way to decide whether or not a piece of equipment/mech is useful, is by looking it up in the MQ Pedia, and asking questions in the Q&A. Both are great tools and are there for you to take advantage of. [CRD] Credits: Avantir-Typo correction and guide cosmetic advice [LOG] Guide Log: October 18th, 2010-Began Guide
