Still Watching...

Given the veritable flurry in the main thread of cross-confusing OOC notes...and the fact that I do need to be able to find any last-minute applications...this thread is for both Sky Arena and Cellar Arena competitors to make their OOC notices, commentary, and clarifications.

Trust me, its for all our sakes.

If I have to make my character vulnerable to attack just to get this party started, you now know that I will!!!!
This is a combat RP, right? Nobody cares that much about my back story or my relationship with the other fighters. They want action, they want violence they want me to get the snot kicked out of me for all of my puns! Ha ha!

Sorry about the spelling. This keybord is not only tiny, it doesn't pick up keys pressed in rapid succession very well so sometimes when there should be two same consecutive letters there is only a single letter. I catch as many typos as I can, I hope it doesn't turn against me when it all comes to an end.

Post is away! Enjoy that one, OoT! I figured it'd be interesting to see Wind vs. Fire.

And yes, I am trying to type Djaak's accent phonetically. Just clarifying so no one think's I've gone nuts... Unless I already have, in which case I'm disproving my own sanity.

Post up, a bit shorter than I wanted, but all things considered, nothing longer was warranted...

Attack is about 60-80 small darts of wind streaking at Flare (Silver's competitor) from knees to face. Sharp enough to pierce leather, in chain mail most will probably find an opening. Can go bone deep in unprotected flesh, bout half that in flesh covered by leather. Nothing crippling, but you will know you are hit, will be leaking blood, and be more than a little pissed off if a few find you. That particular enchantment in the bracers is now exhausted, though it may be able to be duplicated by a spell. ;)

Mmm... things are starting to look good.
btw, the mist exhaled by Auron is pretty thick, as in you wouldn't be able to see through it over about ~4 ~6 yards. Maybe thats a little too much or too little, can't visualize distance in measures very well.
If someone thinks thats too much/too little please tell me, as it really only affects how people can react.
Also remember that this mist is, again, quite thick, so it should be a little harder to breathe in. Unless, of course, some element has power over it, obviously. ;)

Waiting on Sate's response to my Snowball. It's aimed at his approximate center of mass because that is where you generally shoot for maximum man-stopping potential and because it's the easiest area to hit.

Shadow, you totally get the next lighting bolt, Slash doesn't like getting wet. The "spell" she's using creates an electric field around her, that causes the air to heat up, which burns off the mist in the foot or so of space around her.

DH, she's by your character, and asking for some help.

Sabadhai has joined the battle. By the way, if/when the ball of light explodes, anyone looking at, or close to, the point of explosion will be temporarily blinded. You might think, won't Sabadhai be blinded? But of course, he plans on closing his eyes. Perhaps Kenzoku, your character might try the same thing, but seeing as you have no idea when the ball will go off, or even, any idea what the ball does, I doubt very much it would work.

Outside of those who are taking forever to finally get started...everyone in Sky and Cellar are currently in the clear. A few eye-narrowing moments of consideration, but otherwise nothing flamboyantly necessitating some down and dirty questions.

That pleases me, aside from the aforementioned currently no-shows. These two arenas are, after all, the 'closed' arenas that shouldn't have had such a situation occur. Alas.

By the way if you haven't realized, burning with electricity will indeed burn off some of the mist, but fire wont. After all, when the water comes in contact with fire, it will just steam even more...

Not the best post I've ever pulled off by a long shot, but at least it's saved me from being purged.

The staff transforms? Through the use of electric fields? Come on, man, we all know that metal conducts both heat and electricity quite well, and as such you'd need to channel a LOT of energy through a staff to make it liquidate like that, much less manipulate electric fields to turn it into a shield with "lightning-quick reflexes"?
