Location: Battleon » Warlic's Shop » Quests » Lightning storm quest!
Scene: Battleon
Aria: Wow, it's such a nice day! The sky is so clear that I can't imagine we'll have any bad weather for a whole month!!
Warlic: Actually, Aria, I hate to RAIN ON YOUR PARADE, but I am sensing a disturbance in the air directly above Battleon...
Zooms out, displays purple lightning storm above Battleon
<<You>>: Warlic! Aria! Do you see this crazy lightning? What’s going on? It just started out of nowhere!
Warlic: It is MAGIC, friend <<You>>. And it is very dangerous… I sense these lightning storms are breaking out all over the land.
Aria: We have to stop it, Warlic! Can you trace the storm back to its source?
Warlic: Yes, I already have.
<<You>>: Wow—that was fast!
Warlic: I am quick like that. Anyway, the source will be found in the Galvanic Crags in Dwarfhold.
Warlic: <<You>>, please come with me at once--
Warlic: We must stop whatever is causing these storms NOW before every town is zapped into nothing!

Warlic: <<You>>! Where are you?? Hmm… I probably should not have teleported that last mile without bringing <<You>> with me.
Warlic is hit with a bolt of lightning
Warlic: Ouch…. That lightning was a concentrated blast unlike any I have ever been hit with!!
The Galvawk runs in and carries Warlic away
<<You>>: *catches breath* Whew!
<<You>>: Warlic! You should have waited for me!
<<You>>: ……Warlic?
<<You>>: Uh-oh… He seems to be gone. It’s never a good thing when your archmage just disappears…
A faded version of Warlic’s head sails over the horizon
<<You>>: Warlic!
Not Warlic: Not quite, friend. But your facial recognition skill seems to be fully trained. Grats.
<<You>>: Then what--
Not Warlic: This is just a telepathic projection of my real self. It will have to suffice-- I was just captured by a creature called the Galvawk and taken to his lair on the other side of the ravine.
Not Warlic: The Galvawk is not a magical creature itself, but has found a nexus here in the Galvanic Crags that generates those massive lightning storms.
Not Warlic: The nexus is an opening between this world and the Ethereal Realm, possibly left by the Energy Lord himself. All Galvawk has to do is supply it with a source of mana--
Not Warlic: --and the nexus allows him to mentally create the lightning storms. Until today Galvawk has used mana from wild energy creatures here. But he saw me-- and knows I have a limitless supply.
<<You>>: Don’t worry, Warlic, I’ll rescue you and stop Galvawk! I’ll cross the ravine first.
Not Warlic: Be careful-- after you cross the raving you will have to climb up the other side to reach Galvawk’s lair. He has a pile of rocks up here, which he will probably throw down at you.
Go!

You are across the ravine-- Now you must climb up the other side to reach Galvawk’s lair!
CONTROLS: Use mouse to move without letting falling rocks touch you, and without moving outside of the box area. Survive 60 seconds to win!

<<You>>: No-- I won’t leave you alone. Get out here and fight like a-- whatever you are!
Galvawk: No! RAWK!-- I’m busy!
<<You>>: Stop it! You’re embarrassing me! Show yourself now! I’m fully equipped and everything! You can’t just let me stand out here!
Galvawk: RAAWWWWWK! If it’s what I have to do to shut you up, then okay! But you OWE me!
