In the L&L, are you allowed to write stories related to artix entertainment. For example I was going to write a story about mechquest. Is that allowed? Also, I might write a story in the writing academy, that might help answering the question

Here's a kind of newbie question. What is Role-palying. I don't get it...

You can write a story about anything in L+L, as long as it doesn't break any rules. The WA (Writing Academy) is a place you need to go before you can post in the bigger L+L, you get help there. And then you can apply for approval.

RPing is where you make a person, and someone makes a storyline. The person posts events that happen and you and the other people in the RP have to interact to them.

L&L is a community of writers who enjoy all kinds of writing. I will admit to you that L&L does not have much in the way of sci-fi/mecha/mechquest writers at the moment. Most people write high fantasy. But, that is not said to discourage you, but to actually encourage you to come aboard.

All we ask is that you follow the rules of the board. The first place to start would be ENG101, where people post poetry and bits of their story to edit and hone their writing craft before applying for Approved Author or Approved Poet. Once you have proven that you can write, among other things covered in the stickies of the forum, you apply, and upon my approval, you are allowed to post in the Creative Writing forum to your hearts content.

The only time that someone who is not approved might get a story put in L&L without being approved is if they are participating in a forum-wide project, like "Books".

I encourage you to do some investigating. It would be nice to have a sci-fi-ish/mecha writer to join in on the fun.
