Title says it all really but it would be cool to automatically have an option to set a default colour.

No thanks. It's hard enough reading the occasional post in BRIGHT FREAKING YELLOW or some other color. I'd rather not make it even easier for people to gouge our eyes out.

This is a good idea, but you can change the colour easily by just, copying & pasting the colour code you want. So for exampe the colour code is,
[color=#009900]
. You could just copy that in front of your message, and then just type whatever. It's faster highlighting everything then choosing your colour.

The fastest way I've found to color my posts is to do the following:

1. Type message
2. Hit CTRL+A
3. Open the color palette and select your color
4. Type in post-sign Done!

You can also open color first and THEN type your message in-between the color tags, which requires a few less movements.

There won't be any default option, though, because we don't want everything to be in BRIGHT FREAKING YELLOW or INVISIBLE FREAKING FORUM BACKGROUND COLOR, now, do we?

You'll just have to make do.

Just because there is a set default color, doesn't mean it will be that yellow, because if people would use it as theirs wouldn't they already post with it?

Personally I think this is a great Idea, but could go past the rules with irritating fonts like these:

Example Example Example

But if there was a system where they could be checked and if abused in posts, then warnings issued, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Zeke... no one is going to put their whole post invisible... it'd be called spam. The reason I want this is because I'm too forgetful to remember and keep consistent with colours and the likes.

Also, people can still change the font color to a very bright yellow even there isn't any default font color system, so this thing is just going to save time, instead putting the color tags.

However, having everybody post their posts in colors can get annoying. If the people who did it now were the ONLY ones that used the system, it'd be fine, but that most likely won't be the case; with a new system that saves time, many more people are bound to use it.

We don't know how many people don't use this color purely because they are too lazy to. Actually, I think the amount of time it takes to get the color tags in is some sort of a defense mechanism; it deters people from using it simply because it's "too hard" (read: They're too lazy to do it themselves) :P

Adding this option would be replacing a metal fence with a string.

@Alpha Tom: After 2 years of coloring, it becomes natural. I know that I don't even *remember* that I put the color tags in.

I completely agree. I use a color that I found on photoshop, wasn't on the forums, and so I can't find that color. That's why I need to go into Photoshop everytime to find that color. So then it takes a very long time.
