After updating my guide, I realized that there is a big issue regarding how AQW's Guides forum - You cannot have the ability to post after your guide has been approved. Sure, PMing is great, but, how many of us have big enough spaces for PM's so that we can take enough suggestions. I've so far gotten 3-5 suggestions, PER DAY, on how to improve my farming guide. In fact, I believe this is the SAME issue I addressed back when the MQ Guides Forums were first made to the public. Simply to put it - After Seahawk saw my argument to allow posting after guides were approved, he accepted. Here are the arguments I believe will go away after posting is allowed after approvals: (There are even benefits too!) 1. The creativity output will explode - Easily, a benefit. By allowing posting, you can even suggest a change to a change. I feel that since people are NOT allowed to post after a guide is approved, we are only able "to see one side of a story". We can't just let one person see things - we have to see it as a group, so we ALL agree. A Non-Member may like an idea, but another Non-Member will not. A pm is only directed to one person, usually, so the creativity factor is more dull than it should be. The more people who see an idea, the less bias there will be. My philosophy of guides is, "Creativity and Neutrality through a group negotiation is always first priority". 2. The PM space issue will go away - Sure, this isn't a problem as I am a special case, and have an abnormally large PM box, but not everyone else is special. As I said before, when a new release is out for AQW's, I normally get bugged around 3-5 times, PER DAY, until I add it to my guide. My PM box can handle this. Everyone else? I'm not too sure. As we know, if a post is made, that means it saves YOU, the Guide Writer your valuable PM space. 3. The Forum will get more active - If more posting privileges are around, that means more liberty, as long as you are responsible about your freedoms. The more freedom a forum has, generally, the more activity it brings out. This correlates with my creativity benefit. If more posting is allowed, then, more people will post. If more people will post, then more suggestions will be made. And the more suggestions and changes are made to a guide, the better the guide will become. I believe that the forumites will use the forum for the right thing - to post information. Moderating the forums after this suggestion is implemented will be only on a scale from 1 to 10, a level 4 problem, worse case scenario. 4. Guides will be able to cover a lot more information. If one's guide eve got to big, instead of a giant hassle to let a moderator let you post, you can just easily press the Post button to give your guide more space. I know I'm far from my somewhat (I think it was) 20K character limit, but someone else out there will be. I do not think someone should go through a hassle if the information they have has the power to benefit us all. Hence, these are the reasons why AQW Guides Need to be postable after approval is set. Thank you for taking my suggestion.
