there have been so manygreat awesome amazing threads that have been created, but they have all been deleted because "they belong in the all classes thread"

frankly, nobody talks about the class in the class discussion thread much.

so i think the forums would be much more enjoyable if we got rid of that one thing.

Don't delete but let people have a class discussion about ONE classthat anyone can do (mine got deleted cause of that thread -_-)
And soon this thread will get deleted

On this subject, I agree. While there is a Class Discussion, it's a bit harsh to delete a thread about a class when it's going so well, only to have everything posted in it wiped out upon deletion.

What if they have two threads? They could keep the class discusion for classes in general and then add a thread specifically for the current/upcoming class.

Maybe it's there to prevent having too many class discussion threads going on at the same time?

Actually, because of that thread one of my threads got horribly misunderstood by two AK's, one I explained it, and then Landis got rid of it, and I thought it wasn't worth it. About Necromancers and Paladins, which would be better (Like Good vs Evil), and I said THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CLASSES. And he told me it belonged in the All Classes Thread. -_- I suggest deleting it.

There's no point in having multiple threads with the same topic.
=AK= All Classes Discussion Thread was made for these classes discussions.

There just happens to be one in the DFGD.
There you can find the =DF= General Discussion Forum Rules. One of the rules is:

If you have a topic in mind, please search the forum to see if someone had it first. If there is already a thread about your topic, please read it first to see if it covers your discussion. Posting a new thread about a topic already being discussed creates spam and only decreases the quality of discussion in each thread.

Since there was already a topic about classes going on, there was no need in having another class discussion topic in the first place.

=AK= All Classes Discussion Thread involves all classes discussion.

But the problem is that no one starts ONE discussion in that, you get 3 answers then everyone has forgotten it.
That's the problem with that thread.

@Zhukai: Also, when you mention a class, but tell that it is not about the class, someone still delete's it (No, your delete was fine, but by the second time, it wasn't worth the trouble).

If someone made a spam thread, but insisted that it wasn't, that doesn't change anything. If a moderator deleted/locked the thread, they had a purpose. If you disagreed with the action, you can appeal it. However:

As far as the whole official thread thing goes, I see nothing wrong with it. There's really no need for 20ish threads all on classes.
