There are some ways to get customized avatars without becoming an ArchKnight (or higher-ranking moderator). quote:
Helpful/!: This title is given to outstanding forum users. To earn the title, they need to be both helpful and have a good attitude. People who actively seek the title will likely not be rewarded with it as "title-seeking" is discouraged. This title usually comes with avatar upload (at the moderator's discretion). A variation of this title is the "Very Helpful/!" title. Creative/!: This title is mainly given to members of the creative boards (Creative Arts/Legends and Lore). In order to receive this title, members must not only be creative, but also helpful. This title usually comes with avatar upload (at the moderator's discretion). A variation of this title is the "Very Creative/!" title. Friendly/!: This title is given to forum users who go out of their way to be kind and friendly to other users. They have a positive attitude and are actively participating in the board. They do not meet the requirement for a Helpful title but, because of their contributions to the community deserve recognition. Constructive/!: This title is given to forum users who consistently contribute in a positive manner to the threads they post in. They have a positive attitude and are actively participating in the board. They do not meet the requirement for a Helpful title but, because of their contributions to the community deserve recognition. Custom titles: Custom titles are no longer given out to regular forum users except in unusual circumstances. The majority of custom titles you will see a) belong to members of forum staff (or their assistants, who have their duties included in the title) or b) beta testers of the forum, who were rewarded for their help with a custom title. Custom titles usually come with avatar upload privileges. As for regular users getting avatar uploads, it's probably not going to happen. quote:
First, practically speaking, storage space can be tight sometimes. We have a lot of posts in the database, and a lot of members. Second, speaking on policy, custom avatars are a privilege used to denote status. They are given either to those who are helpful or creative or to those who volunteer their time. Third, aesthetically speaking, we have made the decision that all of our publicly-available avatars would be based on the Artix Entertainment games. This is an Artix Entertainment forum. If you're not satisfied with the choices, submit your own AE-related avatars or earn the privilege to upload your own. You might get better answers here next time. Forum Support is a board dedicated to forum-related questions while DragonFable Q&A is about the game itself. Edit: Sorry for posting after a lock request was made; the above post wasn't here when I started making this one.
