ive been thinking bout this section for a while
it contains many good guides, but i find that there is a lot of guides
its often difficult to find a certain guide, or to find a new one that i can use

i was wondering if a stickied post can be made for the sake of organization
right now it is just organized alphabetically and as FAQ
the post can just be an index of all the guides and tuts
perhaps with categories such as programs it is for, what its for (files, sigs etc), and difficulty

I'm pretty sure this would be pretty easy to do, and it's a great suggestion. But, as an alternative there is always the search feature.

Briefly I made an example of what I think you meant:

Guides & Tutorials Index

This is organized by the program that a tutorial/guide pertains to. Explanations will be included next to each link

Adobe Flash
[Flash/AS2]Simple Game Engine Tutorial This tutorial is using AS2 (Action Script 2). It's a simple tutorial on how to create a Flash Game Engine, including Battle Features, Data Saving, and movement.
[Flash/Tutorial] Flash Weapons This tutorial shows you how to design a Flash Weapon. It includes great shading, and much more.
GIMP
[GIMP]Help from ZEN(all my stuff in one thread) This is a great GIMP tutorial, with many tutorials in a single thread, it teaches you how to make many great tags.

Does that match your idea? Sorry I couldn't do more, I'm quite busy these days.

yep exactly what i was thinking of
the problem with the search feature is that it takes a while and doesnt help much if you're looking for just a general type of tut

There IS a "Sort by Topic" function.
See where the green arrow is on the board? Click those can sort the Topics out. ;)
As it's a free-to-post (as in anyone can post) Board, keeping hold of an index may be hard work and would involve checking the whole board frequently.

This is an interesting and useful idea. The majority of the guides, however, already have tags next to them pertaining to the media that they are for, so I do not feel that this is absolutely critical to have. If you are willing to make and maintain a guide that organizes tutorials, you are more than welcome to make one.

Alternatively, you can quote someone with the click of two buttons, if you reply to a specific post rather than responding to the thread by clicking the yellow "Post Reply" button. To reply to a specific post, use the button in the upper-right hand corner of the post you wish to reference, and when you have the Message Window up, hit the "Quote original" button next to the Privacy Policy link.

This will basically do all the work for you.
