There are two things I can think of right now, the first being very minor. I think the forum labeled "Clan, House and Guild Recruitment" should be changed to "Guild and Faction Recruitment," because right now, that's all that it recruits: DF and AQW Guilds and EpicDuel Factions. I know that sometimes the DF/AQW groups refer to themselves as "clans," but when the in-game content has been released for these games, they will be called "Guilds." It also makes it easier to distinguish from Paxia Island Clans.

The second proposal is a rather larger one. I know that before the forum underwent a redo, the approval process required you to have a private forum. Now, with the approval process eliminated, I think it would be best to remove this rule:

quote:

Private-Forums or website is required.

Of course it would be fine to recommend private forums or a website, but especially for EpicDuel Factions, there is really no need of one. Also remember that AQWorlds and DragonFable will be releasing in-game guilds in the distant future: there will be little need for AQWorlds guilds, and maybe DragonFable as well.

Edit: Something I forgot. The rule that you cannot PM people to join your Group has been removed. I think it should come back for obvious reasons.

I agree that maybe the Recruitment Board's name should change, as it would make things easier.
But in my personal opinion, it seems to make the Board seem more official to the Parent Board.
Besides, we never know, other Games may bring out Clans/Etc., so just naming it after the Parent Board would keep it broader.

The PM Rule is Here.

The best way to advertise your clan is through your Signature. Do not sent out unsolicited PMs to other Forum Users about your Group, and do not create threads or posts in other forum boards to advertise or recruit members to your Group.

True, it makes it seem official to the parent board, but the parent board also has a place for GU Houses and Paxia Clans.

    Inconceivable!

I completely agree with changing the "Private-Forums or website is required." rule. Either have it apply only to AQW and DF clans, or change it from a requirement to a recommendation.

I know a lot of people in EpicDuel that have told me they won't bother posting in the CHG because it's too much effort to get a website or forum up. Factions are a paid in-game feature, and as such they shouldn't require extra work outside of the game in order to be able to recruit. We already have a faction message board in-game, as well as the ability to chat with anyone in our factions, so an external forum on top of all that is not necessary.

The first point has been adressed (it doesn't bother me much that they left "clan" in the title, as many people use that term for DF and AQW groups), but the second one stands. As Ashari said, people pay to create Factions. They should not need to go through the trouble of a private forum or website to be allowed to recruit on the forums.
