Well, I had a sudden urge to try and write poems. This is my first stab at it.

Lost One
I stare up at the ceiling,
Empty.
Someone stole life's meaning,
Pointless.
Thinking back into the past,
Wishing those sweet times could last.
Finally regretting my mistake,
Realized that there was a chance to take.
Too late, damage's done,
Too late, now you're gone.
With that, you left me dead inside,
My soul, already lost in the tide.
Looking through my memories,
Hidden, deep, in the nooks and crannies.
Fragments of bliss, joy, laughter,
Gone, lost with you, forever.
Trying to forget you, banish you,
But it's just another thing I can't do.
So I just stare.

Seasons
Spring's come, flowers blooming,
Blue sky, beautiful day,
All the children are out at play.
Except me.
Summer's here, beaches booming,
Calm sea, cool waves,
The boardwalk rides all the children brave.
Except me.
Fall's arrived, leaves falling,
Crisp air, golden trees,
Giddy kids play in the leaves.
Except me.
Winter's landed, snow falling,
Frosty chill, no grass to mow,
So all the children play in the snow.
Except me.
Here in my room I sit,
Imprisoned in my own dark mind.
Emotions bubbling, memories rising,
Of you and I, how we used to be.
On every snowman's face I see,
Your playful grin, beckoning to me.
Every fallen leaf reminds me of,
Your deep brown eyes, searching me.
Your laughter, warm, deep, is echoed,
In the crashing of the waves.
And Spring, oh Spring!
Not a memory but a dream,
How I wish that I could be,
Reborn, like the grasses green,
To be at your side,
Just you and me.
