Before you think that I am crazy... bear with me please. Right now, it's possible to have a theoretical 6 Focus (50 Base Stats for every stat achievable by level 31, and 7 focus becomes possible by level 36, 8 focus becoming possible by level 41, ect ect ect), as Varauk on the old EDF once demonstrated, though the problem of low health appears. Let's say that the staff does indeed make a new focus level - When do you think 6 Focus would become viable? Do you think there will be more focus levels? I suppose you might be thinking... OMG THIS GUY IS CRAZY, in a day and age where Robots are so powerful. What I am doing is reaching through time, looking to the far future of things. And it's not pretty. That is why I want you guys to hear me out first. The reason I say this is because Robots might be great now with 5 focus, as Bot Effectiveness works in a parabola, but over time... As more stats are made, it'll be easier to stagnate Robot Damage at it's cap, which is +30 as of right now. After The Point of which 5 Focus becomes easy without any risk (5 Focus with a decent amount of HP). Also, since a New Focus level is only possible ever 5 levels, assuming you're not investing points into HP, Bots will lag behind. But it won't be noticeable level per level. You'll feel the effects every 5 levels. I know bots aren't supposed to be the best forever, but at this rate, it'll become the worst of offensive styles. Assuming at a comparison of 200 Tech and 200 Strength at level 45: 200 Tech (+5 Focus damage included)= 51-55 Damage (+30) = 200 Strength (assuming that Level = Base Damage) = 38-46 Damage (+45) 200 Support (Aux Damage is a bit random unfortunately) = 38-46 + ??? (Probably would be some REALLY big number) Even with the SAME cutoffs, assuming there would be no new Focus Intervals, no new Bots, no new mechanics, and no new progression tables are made, and Bot Damage remains on a constant +5 Tech/+1 Damage, Starting at level 45, Bot Damage starts to become overtaken by Primary, and Sidearm Damage. Auxillary will surpass it much sooner because Axillary Damages are extra-ordinarily high. As time persists, Bots become much more weaker and weaker as new weapons with higher primary damages are unleashed. Eventually... they become obsolete. I also need to reiterate that the Benefits of strength can be used every turn while Robots have a cooldown of 4. This causes an even bigger disparagement, which only exacerbates the problem at hand. But then again, this won't be possible for a VERY long time, so I guess there's no need to worry, right?
