I'm done. Fed up. For those who know me, you know I'm generally a nice person.
Now I'm going to rant.
These forums are screwed. Every time the developers do something nice, or do any sort of update, it's always; "Those money greedy devs", or "What about the non-variums?"
Every freakin time.
Is no one here grateful? (Some are, but too many aren't) You look at the DF Forums. Everyone loves the game, is constantly constructive and friendly. Most of the other forums are pretty much like that, or not too far off. Here it isn't. People are complaining 24/7. Like it's their job.
Guess what? If you don't like it, then suggest a better option or quit. There's no "And now we wait to buy another 10,000 Varium package and start again... -.-" You don't have to play. If you want a free PvP game, go play League of Legends or something else.
But, I do agree with the complainers.
PvP is not fun if some players have an advantage that others don't. Therefore I think that EpicDuel should scrap the concept of purchasing high powered Varium weapons, armors, etc.
So how do the developers earn money you ask?
Features. Hoverbikes, houses, factions, name changes, class changes and helmets are great. They promote players to buy Varium without getting an advantage. Another thing that could be done is making really cool weapons (Like making many of the current Varium weapons) the same power level as other weapons, but with cool looks, thus promoting character to pay for customization.
People complained about the new Juggernaut battle mode, saying that it shouldn't be Varium only. I think it should, as it promotes the purchase of Varium without giving an unfair advantage.
Another thing that could be purchased with Varium is locations. You could have the current locations free, but add more locations that require you to pay Varium to access them.
One last thing. Many player will get mad about losing the Varium they purchased to get more power. When a purchase is made with AE, I believe that an e-mail is sent with the payment information. This could be shown as proof of purchase to get a Varium refund that will allow players to get what they want again based on the new system.
