The end of the Frysteland saga, that is! As the War comes to a close, I want to congratulate each of you who participated and made the Frysteland war a success! Remember that your actions determined the outcome of the War for Frysteland, and influenced the storyline as a whole. I’ll be posting an addendum with the official announcement of the alignment winner, along with a description of the missions you’ll have to complete to discover how this arc concludes.

We’ll probably be revisiting these characters in a future arc, and I know some of you were interested in the mythology. Frysteland will remain open all year to visitors from all over Delta V, whether you're seeking conquest, information, or riches.

Since this marks the end of this particular story arc, we’ll be implementing the Aftermath missions, and making changes to the Frysteland screens to reflect the aftermath of the Frysteland conflict.

Also, all the seasonal rare frost weapons will be leaving for another year, possibly taken by the mysterious Titanfraggr for unknown reasons.



Traitors

I would like to confirm that an individual cannot have both the Legion’s Bane achievement and the Krampus Slayer achievement. Players who switched alignment to earn both achievements will lose the second achievement earned. So, if you killed 100 Krampus for the Krampus Slayer achievement, then switched to Exile to kill 100 Yeti and get the Legion’s Bane achievement, you would only get to keep the Krampus Slayer achievement.

This situation showed us that we need to overhaul the war system for the next epic war event to encourage loyalty, and punish treason more severely.



Broken Hearts



Following the Frysteland arc, we will be starting with the next EpicDuel story arc. As Alydriah was distracted by the conflict in Frysteland, the Exiles in Old Fortune City seized this opportunity to plan a counterattack at the Heart of Alydriah’s operations. Not much more I can tell you right now, except that this arc won’t hold back- it’s the darkest thing I’ve written for EpicDuel so far; I hope you are prepared for it!



With this story arc, we’ll be implementing a NEW Promotional pack to replace the Frost Destroyers. This promo which will be going live early Friday will include Azrael Borg and Azrael's Curse. The Azrael Borg is a robotic wasp does that physical damage, and has the special ability to sting your enemy with it's unblockable serrated tail and deliver a Heart Attack! Well, technically it's not a real heart attack, but it does drastically reduce the effectiveness of any applied buffs on your opponent. It also has a physical primary attack in which it uses it's razor-sharp heart blades to give your opponents more than a broken heart!



The second part of the promo is the awesome mutating weapon, Azrael's Curse! This potent physical weapon forged as a warped marriage of technology and magic carries the Mark of Azrael, which offers a +5% chance to crit!

The Heartbreaker weapons will also be returning, and you can buy them from Alydriah’s Heartbreaker Bot in her Fortune City Spire or from Exile Leader in Old Fortune City.

Balance Tweaks (Postponed Until Next Week)
We'll be making another small balance adjustment for this update. One that is confirmed is removing the effect of Support on Deflection to Technology. This should increase the usefulness of this stat while reducing the "Swiss Army Knife" status of the Support stat.

I find the bot's special a little bit OPed . Why? I mean reducing 80% of buff's power is .... kinda crazy.

The new update really rocks. And the main thing was no more dummiers and no more cheating :D

The 5% chance of getting critical form the Azrael's weapons are awesome with the New bot reducing 80% of buff's power is awesome.
The new mutating weapon are also good as in there own way. And i am hopie for new awesome update from the Dev's soon :D

1)Azrael's Borg

Non 5 focus build:
This bot is very usefull against shield builds. With a str build i can reduce def matrix and hit very high dmg so you can think its usefull BUT what if your oponent use assault bot ?! after reducing 80% of your debuff - oponent can also use debuff and you will not have any robot to reduce buff(cause there is not any buff) + you will not have assault bot to reduce debuff on you. Which makes this robot useless.

5 Focus:
First i thought you can hit robot special any time but later i learn you can only use unblockable special if your oponent use buff + it hit very low dmg with special. This ruined my low dex+physical armor + mineral armor - high tech - surgical build. so its also useless for 5 focus.

2)Azrael's Curse
The stats of weapon is copy of Delta Maul in a way. I can do the same build with Delta or Azrael's Curse, it just a choise between 13% curse or 5% crit. I think 5% crit is better but is that worth spending 3000 varium just to get 5% crit ofcourse NO.

I like the release except for the bot,


Sure the bot is good enough, but it encourages the use of effortless power builds something I completely disagree with.

Sure you can argue they cant use aussalt bot, but if they start they dont need to....

Now they take away the little counters we had for these ridiculous builds , Iam suprised the balance team alowed a decesion like this.


Maybe It is only I that has the opinion that ED should be PVP battles determined by startegy , catching your oppenent off guard, Making flexiable defences.

Rather then easily opening oportunites for effortless yet capable builds which in the right situtaion can take down any form of stargy allowing for the bulk of the population follow human nature and find the easy way, which in this case is effotless yet effective copy builds, ones which yes do not always win BUT they will always take you down effotlessy eventually, simply because of the amount of these builds which in the right hands can be used by people with a brain to take down almost all simply by starting. Leading to more and more luck based battles end eventually ruining what I thought was a fun element of the game.


I really hope the balance team starts making Counters rather then destroying them, forcing yet even the most stubborn of people to join the army of power builds simply so they stand a chance.

I dont like where this is game is going in terms of normal battles.

i want to get this straight: the bot special is an UNBLOCKABLE physical attack with 6X focus dmg + 11-15 base dmg + dmg gained from technology + an effect that's quite nice?

From what I undertand The special can only be used if they use a buff,
So in other words you cant spam unblockable robots, But you can spam STR hope for a start and bag an easy win.

How and why this game has allowed battles to follow this path Im not sure,
But I seriosly don't like it, You can tell basically by the attitude of alot of battling players that others don't like it either but I think some are unaware of the cause.

the robots main attack is NOT unblockable

so far, only used the special for comedy value, nonetheless, it has buffed my Cyber Hunter. will probably buy it for my bounty too, he has items better for 5 focus anyway

Suggestion for future armours:

Because resale is quite low, and armours can cost many credits, I think I may have an idea to help players control their bought or earned monies when it comes to buying an armour.

Mutating armour- Yes, armours fit all classes. BUT, there is always going to be 4 types of armours installed for every new armour. The armour types are of course... male and female, energy and physical. There is a way to cut down on this. Mutating armours' elements can be switched freely between defence and resistance so that players don't have to buy both types of the same armour that they really love. This also reduces the armour numbers by HALF. I'm not sure, but this saves on inventory and maybe code.

IMO, I would greatly appreciate this a new feature.

 Decided to pick up the new Azrael in the end, if i got the old one i would have regretted it, as the new one is better all round and i only really wanted the old one for the classic value. Been pretty lucky with the crits, 3 in a row once, which was rather helpful :)

 Tested on Rogue Ninja.

Yes, the Bot does reduce shields. Nerfed his Energy Shield to +6 :3

Is Azraels borg and Azraels Curse seasonal-rare or Rare ? cause it says seasonal but in main site it tell Rare.

Without any proof, I can tell you that it is currently permanent rare and will be replaced next year just like Azrael's Bane. Unless of course we tell the staff that we want to be able to buy them back each year and they agree.
