If a thread has reached 10 pages or more or is inactive, do i request or a lock or will someone lock it themselves??

A staff member or assistant will lock it at 10 pages (unless it is an official thread). There is no need to request a lock.

However, if you have noticed a thread is over ten pages and has yet to be locked, please do PM a member of the forum staff, we always appreciate helpful reminders.

Do remember official tagged threads do not follow the ten pages to a thread rule, so if you see a thread over ten pages always check to see if it's officially recognized before you'd PM one of us. :)
