I actually won a Rixty Contest with this poem that I wrote on the EpicDuel Forums.

Last Breath

Feared by many,
Scared by none.
Slashing through victims,
One by one.
Her hands forever
stained with blood.

A mystical tech-mage,
Eclipse is her name.
The vicious hunter,
Not the frightened prey.

One victim dies,
Another battle awakes.
Her staff veiled in blood,
Yet her heart never aches.

She encounters a match
With a brutal bounty.
Staring at death right in the face.
The once mighty,
Eclipse takes her last breath.

Once feared by many,
Scared by none.
Slashing through victims,
One by one.
Her hands will forever
Be stained with blood.

Love

In the shadows,
It hides.
In her eyes,
It shines.

It is a stain,
That you can
Never wash away,
But still bestows
A touch of grace.

Inside the heart,
It crawls.
Be sure to grab it,
Before it falls.
Out of your hands
And into your soul.

It is too late,
It has taken form
And changed your fate.
Your new bride
Now awaits.
Since love has
Taken you as bait.

Life Goes On

Oh dear!
Fell off your bike,
Took a wrong steer.
Not to worry.
Child, don't fear!
Life goes on.

You've grown up!
What a milestone!
Heading towards the top,
But bumps in your road.
Your friends can't stop,
Their addiction to smoke.

Your friends have died.
Oh, what a shame!
Now it's your wife by your side.
Until you find out
That she had lied.
She was living a double life.

Rooted to your rocking chair.
Memories flash in your head,
That were once there.
All alone now,
In this place of despair.
Don't fret now,
Please don't tear.
Life goes on.

Journey of Life

If life is a path,
I’m taking the right one.
There is no hesitation,
Once the Sun,
Shines in my direction.

Climbing towards the top,
I won’t be looking back.
Not knowing where
I’m heading, but
I must keep on track.

My trail is dangerous,
Lonesome and winding.
The walk is endless.
The Sun,
No longer shining.
All I see is darkness.

Though the horizon is near,
I see it in view.
The top is beautiful,
But the climb continues.
