What do you miss about Beta?

this is a thread to bring back some of the good memories alot of us had during Beta, it's called being nostalgic. ^_^


I miss the balance, everyone was overpowered, which means everyone stood a fair chance in a fight, even non variums!
Oh the good times where Bounty Hunters ruled pure damage by using Diamond Blades, the time where mages had their heal loop and insane supercharge capable of doing 150 damage, the times where mercs could get +25 defense thanks to Iron Skin....

And even though this all may seem unbalanced... it was not... It was fun... Factions were in a real competition, everyone stood a fair chance...

And I miss the original giggity... xD We had sooo much fun with it! xD


So tell me forum, what do you miss about Beta?

Everything ya' said above. Diamond Blades just did awesome lookin' damage there :D
I miss everything that wasn't in Beta ( Focus, Agility, stat reqs, etc. ).

all I really miss about beta is the lvl cap at 31, everything else while exciting at the time, was rather full of bugs and true stat spammers (however these stat spamers truely had skills as there were no enhancements in beta and so they had to be extraordinarily cleaver with there stat points, even mercs)

 What I miss in beta are the high hp builds where you could still have decent defence. Not needing so much varium because no enhancements, no balance, everything, low defence would work. Average dex was like 21-26 its now like 25-30 because of enhancements.

I wish I was in the beta phase and purchased the Founder Armour :)

But I miss the OLD Oz World 7. We all had the best times there.

But I like Delta as it is showing alot of progress in my opinion.

 Diamond blades and Iron Skin are Alpha skills FYI

Anyway what i miss about Beta is my Caster Build i still use it today but its not as good now

 Personally, I'm glad that the hump from Giggity got removed. It was abused constantly. And do not post anything about how people shouldn't play if they get offended by Giggity being abused. It was abused and it falls under the category of sexual harassment which is illegal. This is also an AE game, not a mature game. Even if it was, Old Giggity would still be sexual harassment. It's not coming back, end of story.

I don't miss much from Beta actually. Heal looping was annoying even if there were counter builds. Those counter builds often relied on luck against them anyways and were often a target for any other type of build.

I do miss the balance back then. So much variety, I wish that I could go back in time and relive the glory days. It's all +5 focus now, what a joke. The build that was developed to counter all builds is the only build left in this game.

I miss the caster builds so much and the heal looping builds, the nonvariums could kill variums, the battles last more than 10 rounds or more, now it last 2 or 3 turns :/

the thing I miss the most about beta is people didn't make topics about how amazing beta was every 5 minutes.

There is a 5 bonus counter build. Repetetive Poison and EMP.
I miss the shot nonvariums had. I remembered just before enhancements, I was able to beat BarneyPwnsYou in a fair match.

I miss every thing from beta; EVERYTHING, even having to start up after the leaderboard resets so I can get on the leaderboard.
I miss all the awesome players then, must of them quited. I miss the fact that back then 14-17 strenght was considered high. I missed Everything! I regret ever purcharsing my first varium, once you brought ur first varium, the only way you can stop buy more varium, is if you stoped or quit ED.

Back then the game was fun, now it just a pure pain in the spine. Now ur chace of getting a good fight out of 200 fights, is as low as 6. A good fight is a fight that you enjoyed, wether you won or lost, an intense fight, a fight that a player goes head to head with the person he looks up to in the game. So sad that today, before the fight already start, am already pissed off, becasue spamming now rules the game. enhancement messed everything up!!!!!!!!!!!!

ED then was the game, now, sometimes I foget I clicked on battle when a on next tab, or I foget that am in a battle when am another tab/game. The only thing thats keeps me from stoping completely, is how smexy I look.

ED has failed and keeps failing after Beta.

i miss beta beacuse back then there was no fame, and everyone would just have normal conversations (and by normal i mean stragiht up random talk)

Beta was one of those days where I Found ED intreresting. I liked it quite well and my likingness dropped quite a bit when all the unnecessary things and overpowered things make things worse and complicated.

I miss being first of All time, I miss dominating the legion side with Legit. I miss the fun I had while I heal looped my way to the top. Good times indeed.
