Making my announcement a bit early. I was too excited to wait it out for four more hours, and figured you wouldn't mind! ^_^;
Recently, you faced off against the SeekRat and several classic AQ villains, gathered together in a collective known as the Terrible Twelve. In doing so, you met Lord Barrius, who seemed to be the leader of some kind of secretive order in charge of managing interaction with the shadow universe, and discovered some secret weapons hidden in the SeekRat’s base camp which were specially designed to destroy creatures of shadow. The purpose of those weapons, however, remained unclear....but it seems likely that they were designed to help prepare for potential future fights against the shadow universe.
While so much of the future remains unclear, one thing is clear: the SeekRat is not done with the shadow universe, and another shadow war will undoubtably spring up. And when it does occur, you will need to be prepared!
I’ve said before that I have always loved to create content that the players have helped me build, and this is no different. This time, I’m asking you to embrace the shadows, and help me create some new ones!
Today I’m announcing a new contest, the “Looming Shadows!” contest. There are two categories that you can enter in:
1) Create a new and unique shadow monster that you feel might be considered a greater threat than a normal shadow creature.
2) Create a new and unique item (weapon, armor, etc.) that you feel would be an appropriate reward for defeating an army of shadow creatures.
The winning entry for each category will be used in the next shadow war, with the monster used as the war boss, and the item as a reward in that war! Runner-up entries may also earn consideration for future releases.
Sound good to you? Then head on over to Official Contests and place your entry in the official contest thread. Feel free to discuss the contest in the contest discussion thread, as well, and keep any speculation about the future release itself in the AQGD! But hurry, because you’ll only have two weeks to enter!
