im a tlm merc b4 but tlm merc are boring now for me. now im a bh but i cant ecounter a tlm merc str so how u do it guys and btw if im right will tlm merc have a skil change because no matter what nerf happen there still strong . not overpower

I'm using my normal build and I seem to be doing fine against them as a tech mage. The only factors against me are lag and luck :/.

man like i said before i dont love any class , i been TM - BH - TLM , so if TLM will be nerfed , im gonna change to next strong class

They probably will nerf fieldmedic so supp builds gonna be bad and probably they will put req on every thing in TLM skill tree , so i will change to BH or BM

Doubt that Davex, Then Tact merc would be again the dominating class lol...

What I do against Tact mercs... Low lvl's Fight like there is no tomorrow
High Levels, Just die

I have lost to one tlm with my new CH build. He rage aux crit twice... I mean really... I didnt think he could do 57... WITH technician.

As long as they don't get a lucky streak fighting them, my cyber hunter stands a very good chance against support tacticals. I almost always beat strength tacticals. I only see them use either smoke or artillery, why don't they try an extreme field medic or surgical strike build?

Well darn sounds to me it's settled. You guys are obviously pros and have no issues since your saying you can beat them so easily.

Sounds to me TaMs don't need a nerf then?

I love all these "I don't have much trouble with so and so build unless they get lucky". so everyone can handle tactical mercs with no real problems.
that's cool then, don't fix support, don't fix tactical mercs, clearly they are the weakest class and its just bad players that can't beat them.

the fact that almost everyone is a tac merc and its hard to tell the good from the bad plays no part in your handling of them obviously.

"dont give up" was asking for advice, not the egotistical strutting displayed in this topic. only person who offered any advice was Turkish, when he said to wait until they are nerfed.

their is no 100% fool proof advice btw, every match is different, every tac merc is different [well, kind of].


ON TOPIC

against support, the longer the fight goes on, the better it is for them. so taking a risk early can have its rewards. EMP/Atom smasher is useful, but they only need enough energy
to heal each time and if your beating on them, they will have that energy. My tactic is to try and throw up my defence matrix [mage and cyber] just before they rage aux me and
hope for the best. too many people throw up their defences too early and help them reach rage quicker, then they just rage aux/artillery as your defences run out and win.
also healing at the right time can help, even if you only heal 30 [so your max health] and 15 is wasted. better to live and waste your heal then lose and have energy left lol.

I don't really have any experience against strength builds, as I avoid 1v1 as much as possible.

my best bit of advice is always take boosters, whichever kind your most comfortable using

As a bounty hunter, use EMP grenade, Bloodlust, and Shadow Arts. EMP them and use blocks and bloodlust to outlast them. I recommend 5 focus, a robot attack provides a little extra offensive push and you want about 45 strength anyway. However, if you can't manage any blocks then they'll probably defeat you because of the Reroute then Heal combined with Hybrid Armor and boosters method.

5 focus Bounty hunter build:
1-1-1
3-10-4
0-5-0
10-0-0

High support, dex, and technology (I use 76 tech and support, 78 dex, 60 str.)

TLM support build: if they use an energy bazooka, use energy shield. The bazooka goes down, so all you have to worry about is multi for a while. Just stay alive and use every weapon in your arsenal. If they use a physical bazooka: Reflex boost, and EMP. You gain back mana if they hit you, so you should be alright.

TLM Str build: Reflex boost. I suggest using a physical armor, but since I only use founder armor, meh about that. After reflex, hit them with all your energy weapons. Shadow arts and 44 reflex boost should keep them at bay with blocks. Heal when necessary (-50 health)

TLM 5 focus build: Smokescreen, use physical weapons. Tactical has no way of gaining back lost physical defense, despite hybrid armor. With a 26 debuff for 13 energy, you should be able to do it several times. Reflex boost or energy shield, depending on which weapons they carry more of.

Other: If a tactical isn't one of 3 builds above, chances are they'll die easily. Don't get mad at me for that. I'm just pointing it out.

This became more of a guide than a post... but I hope you guys give it a try
It works fine for me, just remember I'm a varium player, so I get it easier.
This build works against ALL classes, and the majority of builds. Luck and lag are wild cards, so expect the worst and come prepared (1health, 1 energy booster).

Reading over some posts, and the simple conclusion is take out reroute. All TLM rely far too much on reroute. If you want to take it into the extreme, remove hybrid armor instead. But killing off both will result in a war like none other on ED. Nerfing is a dangerous process, but seeing as we can't buff 5 other classes, there's nothing we can do.
If they DO take out hybrid armor, I'd like to see a reroute debuff, to 23% at max. Now you know what it felt like for the hunters.

in my eyes TLM can use a nerf but nothing major like i still think that the combo of hybrid and reroute is too overpowered but it can be put to rest with the right tactics
another thing is that TLM has the biggest use for major builds because of hybrid and reroute.

but anyway i remember when the evolved classes came out that TLM where like overlords and CH where like the people scavenging for survival but now its far easier to face them

^ That's because CH requires more of a thought process and TaM is an easy class for any nub out there to use.

After a little time one player copies another and so on and so on until everyone is the same and begins being classified as the same when they are not. If you ever stick around and watch a 2v2 where two players have the same build you will see who knows what there doing and who enjoys copying others and being a part of that class "TaMs suck and I always beat them."

Maybe one day Titan will allows us to have a little strategy with non-viewable stats and skills...

^true so true like it took me till a little before the release of te auxilleries and guns to find the right build

like i barely go into 2v2 because its filled with support TaMs but i do see it. like lvl 33 TaM and a lvl 30 TaM then me and a lvl 28 merc and like lvl 30 just copied everything the lvl 33 did so like the game lasted for a while because of my emp :P but yea the orriginality of builds have been lost

A Varium TLM i dont beat simple as that a F2P TLM i just drain at the right time to remove skill x from the equation for a round or two

The main problem for tact merc is field medic at high support. They should seriously redo field medic when you go 85+ support because it heals alot even at level 1.

Field medic is the target of the next round of nerfs as I understood it last we all spoke about this. Didn't the Mods say there was going to be some sort of flat heal rate for field medic? Then those support abuse players can't heal loop effectively anymore.

I EMP TlM a lot and heal/shield. I find its more or less even up who wins and who loses. I'm a focus BH with high tech.

I'm a BM and what i do is after they zooka and they multi, i put up the shield that is the same as their primary. this messes up their rage, and they don't have they're bazooka ready, it's still in cooldown, i just keep on doind that and i heal. For str TaM, i use intim, then after smoke reflex. Now unless they are using some insane build they will not beat me.

well yes i have to agree with the heal loop but i think what they could do is make field medic go slower like how stat progression works like if you have more than 60+ dex tech and str you will need 5 more stat to make it stronger or improve. sorry for the bad English is hard for me to put it in words how it make scene

High Support, High Hp, 2 69 heal's, like 60 dexterity reflex boost, and thats about it.
