1 What factors made you better at building?
2 Just for you

1 At the beginning I was absolutely rubbish at it. Friends gave me builds to try. Used to take me ages to figure out exactly how they worked. OMG. I was the BIGGEST noob ever. lol


2 The great job done by the guys that do the epicduel wiki. I use it all the time for the stat progression. Saves me a lot of time and so usful to check the weapons stats.


3 Not so good at this one. I am not a natural builder. I can tell them how I do it but do not really have the time to work things out for them. As I have always been a BH, I am tottally rubbish at any attempt to try and help them. All I can do is point them in the right direction.

1.) I have fought many times from different classes, and that gives me ideas to contrast my class builds and the other class's too.
2.) Also I agree with you, stat progression and DA scale help me a lot back then.
3.) Well, I'm a natural builder and I have made many builds to beat bosses and for pvp in 1 vs 1.

1) taking into consideration every little detail. exact stats, getting the best juice out of skills.

2) i use word pad and start a build from scratch
add in the stats and make a skill tree with several usefull skills around nearly the same energy so u have many options.

3) i made build for alot of people like vix (made one for him today just recently), ice wolf x, xXx.MaMaRiL.xXx, Deathnightmare, and alot of other friends and faction mates.

 What factors do i include that would be wierd skill combos designed to back each other up(Malf Assim and Plasma bolt)


What factors do i use just for myself the Wiki, notepad and the calculator are open at all times when i build builds


As for others i do what they want me to do it is a very easy process and rarely do others ask me for help so i can focus on finding wierd builds that work to give to others

1. Probably the fact that I was retraining about every fight when I began the game lol. Every time I had 500 creds I was retraining, then with the class change feature, shoooooo I musta changed classes 20 times literally, no exaggeration lol.

For some reason I had so much fun changing around and doing different things. Now that I've experienced every possible build combo and with the release of TaM, it has become quite boring. The game is so one sided now that trying new things is basically an auto loss. BTW support bounty was probably my biggest fail moment lol.

2. Lol always used the deadly aim scale on wiki. For some reason the math never really added up in my head and was so much easier to just pop that up.

3. What a pain. People don't understand a build is a personal preference and based on your style. If your not use to timing, then a support build just won't work as well for you. Granted Str also requires some timing, it's not nearly as important as with a sup build.

1 What made me wake up in build making was a level 13 mercenary who said, "zean you stupid noob, your skill tree is so spread out"

2 The Stat Progression page on the wiki! I used it first when I created the BH Tech Build.

3 Well I like to build make for other people but a build should come from the heart, not from Zean :P

1 What factors made you better at building?
Battle experience, other people's builds (from where I draw inspirations), and builds/comments/suggestions from the battle strategy section.
2 Just for you
I make builds to own the most frequent class and build, or maybe just for fun. I use: Stat Progression to check stats and Classes to check the base stats and skill tree of a class. Also use the EpicDuel Compendium to calculate Deadly Aim damage and stuff.
3 For others also.
I seldom make builds for others, but I do when it is a friend I am making builds for or when I feel like making one.

1) For myself, I have enjoyed using passive builds. The basic template I have used was something of a little of everything will give an opportunity in any situation. Not much has changed for me. I don't like changing builds, but I rather have one build that can be used to compete against all.

2) The use of skill-tree and stats are like chess pieces. I believe each piece has value and can be used quite effectively it timed well.

3) Since most of my builds being passive, they are not attractive for anyone due to being very slow and requiring thought for each move. I don't find enjoyment in fast matches, I believe by slowing the match down and making players work for every move, they will enjoy the memory over the moment. Players don't ask for my builds because, they are viewed quite lackluster.
Some players have enjoyed my style of play while others have given expressive analogies in showing their disapproval. :)

1. I guess test and check. And I figured out TLM tactics and built builds to counter those tactics
2. ED Wiki. Stat progressions are quite helpful
3. It gave them ideas? Not sure. I don't like helping people mainly because I'm not a great build maker and I'd rather not have them waste 500 credits for some build I made up. Plus, its based on style and preference as said above. If someone asks for help I'll gladly help but I don't like giving my ideas out because its specifically for me and maybe wouldn't work for others.


Main factors affecting build: TLMs. Thats all my builds are. Against TLMs and work well against other classes to.

1. When I was LV27, I kept being Malf-Gun-Auxed by TMs. So I retrained... and retrained... and retrained some more.

2. Skill and stat progression in wiki helped a lot. Also the weapon spreadsheet, tho it jams my computer nowadays.

3. Um. I make builds, mostly non-varium, but I like doing it. I sometimes give them to friends.

1) Well, on my first account I've retrained atleast 100 times, and tried multiple builds, so I just got it from that.
2) I usually make my builds pretty good. Sometimes I have to do a quick stat revamp.
3) Every friend I've recruited into ED, I made the build for 'em. Some of them even got Varium.

Here is the one major thing I do and it can improve any build for any class.

When making a build look at all the current build in the battlefield first, then find their weaknesses and make your build to fit these things for the biggest population and I can garente a succsesful Build.

For example Current battlefield rulers are TLM's this means you wanna find thier weakness (which is unfortunately very small) but I would recomand High Defence, and energy drain attack, reasonable support to minimize crits, etc.

It may turn out that the build wont work for long or that it looks completely starnge but It will still be more efective then if you just tried to make the best build you can think off.
That is the problem most people have with making builds they just try to make it the best it can be, but that is not always the best way.

1. What factors made you better at building?
Options, meaning the more I have to choose from the better the build gets, but what I take in to consideration is Armor type(Meaning if I use Physical I'm obv not gonna make a Dex builds and vis versa for E and Technician) which weapons favor my build of choice in Stat mods and Req's, and which skills will benifit said build the most.

2. Just for you
I like to keep some stuff to myself but most of it I share with others just because of the fact there is so much build abuse these days and why wouldn't I help the underdog beat the money bags, no skill, try hards that rather win then have fun. (Yes I don't have much respect for the cookie cutter players)

There is only one thing I do when I consider a new build, cover every friggin' base. I NEED to have balance in my build, just don't handle well with extremes (makes me feel weird). Make sure has great res and def, and good str and support, then hit the town with extra skills into futherence of either attck or psuedo-attack skills

I do alot of builds for every classes , its too bad i cant try them on game , if i were a MOD or Tester you would see me changing class every hour :D

1.getting beat by multiple builds finding the weaknesses and making that into my strengths

2. my build is my own not a copy/paste. so is my strategy. people mostly mistake me as a bot build so they fail most of the times.

3.i just give them some pointers into making the right choices in their builds

I just think of every build I'll face and counter it.
I'm good at building. I don't make very many builds, but all the ones I made seemed to work. Particularly my 5 focus hunter. I'm quite proud of that one, seeing as I totally improvised it, and it's the best build I've seen around.

All you have to do for builds is READ THE SKILLS.

fay beee, when u said biggest noob, u gave me an idea. there should be secret recordings of low lvls fighting each other and who dominates and stuff like that just to mock the reality show biggest loser. XD

1) what are my biggest factors? experience. it didnt take me long to figure out.
2) when i saw the stat progression page, i was really surprised. i always made theoretical builds that always worked.

 1. Well, I learned how to build from Xendran and his guidance on youtube and then I logged on to the forums finally in which a few weeks later they merged :( anyways from youtube to the forums that's how I learned to build. My building got sooo much better as sooon as I got my beta weapons and looked at youtube vid where someone fought titan, I kinda tweaked Titan's build although I was at a lower level it still worked and it was when Heal loop was in.
