Other than asking people f4f, will this be the only way to stop the asking for fame?

Note: Quests that are unlimited/repeatable everyday.

That is a possible idea,

It does defeat the orignal purpose of fames but I guess that purpose has long died.

If it gets rid of the fame zombies I support.

 Can RabbleThroth and Titan program missions that you can do more than once?

I Agree with Remorse that this defeats the purpose of fame... I guess I'm in the middle :P

Oh oh oh!

What if, every mission completed gave you a varying reward of fame determined by the mission difficulty? Similar to REPUTATION, a feature in quite a few MMOs such a maplestory. However, since fame could be increased by missions, you do not need to advertise yourself. Fame for missions would be rewarding, especially for fame achievements.

begging for it and annoying the hell out of people in oz (and anywhere in the game) has defeated the purpose aswell.

i been to OZ a couple times in the last week. and every time im there its always random people who begging for fame.
i was asked atleast 4 times for fame by 4 different people within the first 10 seconds i got there.

i replied "nty, i dont do fame" (as in fame when someone begs)

some have flamed me, others just kept asking even after i told them no.

so yes a quest for fame (reputation) would be good.

NOTE i dont think a quest would defeat the purpose, i think fame is like a reputation. and ur just making that rep bigger.

Fame is a feature that was introduced to make the game more popular outside of EpicDuel. If you suggest making missions that award fames, why not make battles award War Kills? :o

In my opinion, every feature in ED has its own purpose, fame for its neutral begging (nothing unfair about fame, hence "neutral"), war kills for making Artix richer, missions to bring variety to the game.

I personally believe that fame in EpicDuel is for exhibiting ranking between fellow players. Unfortunate as that might be, more than anything do players see who of all is recognized. So far I haven't met someone outside of AE who would know Fay, Zeal, VIX, Digital, or Comical.

That's very wrong. See, I don't know about you, but when I post my character page in my FaceBook profile, other non-ED playing people can see it and ask what it is. That way, they get to know EpicDuel from someone with good experience on it (moi). Windows Live Messenger, I post my character page as my status, same thing happens. So if social sites help me to get fame, they also help ED to get more famous.

Yeah, sharing ED with your friends on a social network is cool, if you are a little kid.

Getting fame from people who don't even play ED is a good scam (Fraudulent deal; To defraud or embezzle, utilizing your friends to provide for you) I'll give you that, it even promotes the game. It depends on who you are, to get the right effect. Seniors, adults, and young adults who sponsor ED can expect to be humiliated for their "childish" antics (AE is a kid-friendly site). Don't expect someone who can be discriminated against, be someone able to provide as much, that's just life, believe it or not.

You need real-life reputation to make your thoughts heard but not only that, supported.

Like it. And it makes sense that characters would would shower you with respect and adoration (fame) for completing certain tasks for them. In other words... RESPECT!
