Ok power people, now is the time to make your voice hear. Make it heard by beating up others that is. HA! The battle Polls have officially started! What is the Battle Polls? Well quite simply, it's your standard poll. Dogs vs Cat, Flannel vs Silk, Cereal vs Toast, Ponies vs Ponies. That kind of thing.

But anyone can just click to vote. We here at HeroSmash do things a bit differently. We make you kick butt to vote. That's right, PvP battles will now drop War Tokens that you can use to cast your vote. You decide the outcome, by simply doing what you all do best. CRUSHING YOUR OPPONANTS! Hahahahahahaha!

Some people may want a little "reward" for their voting. Well we've got that covered. Not only are you fighting for the "side" you want, but there is also an item that goes along with that side. The winning side gets that item made and put in a Battle Poll shop. The losing side will go in the vaults. Possibly never to be seen again... That is unless we use it for another poll :P.

What's the fist poll? Well this one is a good one. It's an age old question that has made enemies of friends, and brought nations to their knees. The first Battle Poll is.... SCI-FI vs FANTASY. Thyton has sketched up two amazing swords for you to battle for. One being forged with magic and dragon breath, the other is a fine tuned killing machine created from nano particles and devious robots. Which will be the victor? It is entirely up to you.

Step Up and Say Hello – Randor the Red

A certain (not so) secret project has been eating my time lately. I have asked a long time HeroSmash artist to step up and help me out with some things in HeroSmash. Randor the Red will be helping me out. He accepted the challenge and has been hard at work learning to do some of the stuff I do on a daily basis on HeroSmash. One of the main things that he will help me out on is the Design Notes. I enjoy writing them, but unfortunately have had my hands more than full lately. Randor will be helping out, letting you know some of the new items, and ideas that are going on. So expect to see some red DN posts mixed in with the yellow ones.



Randor has been doing really good, and has really stepped up to the new challenges. Let’s hear it for Randor!!!

Finally, a new DN. Joyfully do I read that there shall be quite a few more.

Changes a few of my oppinions about things, and gives me hope for the future, though my outlook is still somewhat dark, concerning HS.

Hmm these battle polls interest me, Although I notice the 'Stop you from attacking giving everyone the chance to heal up' bug is still around :/

Anyway its good to see Randor is helping yergen out maybe now we will see some more Releases, Hopefully starting with Hero Hearts Day ^^

These 2 weapons are terrible. We should get more then this after 3 weeks of nothing.

Well, at least we know progress is being made.It was almost the month anniversary of the non-DN updates. There still needs to be more storyline updates though.

Hmmm, apart from the DNs, there is no way to tell what the battle poll is. Maybe instead of having the name of the weapon above the meter, have the name of what you are actually voting for.

Also, maybe have less obvious "Hero vs. Villian" colour scheme on the voting bars. Use maybe green and orange. or teal and fuschia.

Ahh, how lovely! This made my heart clap(figuratively).

Oh, hello? The meter? I'm pretty sure that my eyes are functioning just as they were supposed to be. Forgive me in advance for saying this but: Don't even attempt to release something that's half done just for the reason that you wanted us to "feel" secured bout' this game's progress. We're not buying it, well at least those who have invested a lot (I'm talking about time here...TIME). Ahh yes, this game is still in beta right? Oh golly wow, dozens of hopeful Smashers reported dozens of bugs on the "Bug Thread page" and I don't see the consistent reply that the issues are being worked out (sounds desperate right? Blame the effects of constant hoping that this game would even satisfy its players).

I think it would have been better if it were two armors, not two weapons...
And, like everyone else said, if this is their idea of a weekly release, it's no wonder they're losing players.

I love the idea of the battle polls, the decision seems to be running a bit slow but the idea has a brilliant potential ie. every time we have a decision to make we should kill eh, "discuss" it in PVP!

 It's actually an amazing idea in my opinion, but I do have to agree that the rewards seem a little.. lacking. I mean, the art is nice and all, but as a reward for the first battle poll, you'd think it would really have the "WOW" factor.

 Yeah, that was part of my reasoning in my big posts on the Game Feedback thread. Slighty rude, but I was irritated. They also really need to make the Fantasy and Sci-Fi. nature of the event able to be known in-game. I'd change the war meters from saying "The Destroyer", and "Skull Slicer" to saying "Sci-Fi" and "Fantasy". That would really help the war to be more popular, and not seem quite as one-sided in nature as it is. Sadly, while the Skull Slicer drawing is pretty good, The Destroyer just looks mediocre in comparison, especially being Sci-Fi. I'd have made a gun the Sci-Fi weapon, personally.

+1 To all in here *Clap Clap* It would be awesome if the Battle poll reward was a Armor Or somthing more "Wow" (AGREED) // Go fix thoose F*... annoying bugs! (AGREED) More DN's (AGREEEEEEEED!!!)

I have to agree with some of the posts that have been put up today, I have disappointed with HeroSmash at the moment, considering the fact that, people have spent a lot of money on this game with their membership/SmashCoins. But, I am not upset, as AE are extremely busy with their other game's, especially AQWorlds, so all we need is patience.

@ above : I respect your opinion, but as my professor would say : " Response time and customer's satisfaction should be put first". Asking someone who spends statistically a relevant amount of time in a game like this to "wait" would be outrageous. A week without anything to surprise the players is enough, but more than that.....it's a different matter.

Sci-Fi is winning.
I wasn't expecting this, but I've been fighting for The Destroyer the entire time so I suppose my skills helped boost our score :3

 I find that suprising too, Randor. Personally, I think it's because the exploiters of Ice Barrage are doing most of the voting, as they are the most dedicated players, but it's hard to say, because I have no record of voting to look on. If something like that were provided, I could make a definitive statement, and say how this is possible, because most people don't actually like the Destroyer, as far as I know, which makes me even more suspicious as to why the war is going this way. The fact that it's going so slow also shows that the fact that it's PvP-based is discouraging most people from participating, and is not making it very appealing at all, as it should be. There is also the fact that it doesn't say it's Sci-Fi vs. Fantasy anywhere in game, unless you guys changed it while I wasn't looking, but I am guessing most of the people voting in it have looked on the DNs, because as I said, they are the most dedicated players, even if they are arrogant jerks, sometimes.

Battle Pole is at 100% for one of the weapons.

Can't buy destroyer, it says test item.

It is fixed now.
