Hello everyone, I wanted to know if you were noticing an increase of deflection vs. the block and critical.

is it me or am I wrong?

I apologize if this post is out of place but I wanted to understand how it works ....

My BH has increased his deflections but he has a tremendous amount of Tech. My CH has much less, almost on par with his support so I didn't see any change at all. The block rate on my BH seems better recently but thats most likely an anomaly in the RNG and not due to any change in the game.

yes, deflections have definitely changed.
the malf classes now have the advantage on deflections. specially if they are using high tech.

but the percentages are different:

my tech 60 vs 65: YES deflection
my 101 vs 80 dex: no block
supp my 77 vs 35: NO CRITICAL

will surely just a coincidence ....

Those differences are not so drastic that you should expect any of those outcomes. Statistically, your chance to crit, block or deflect in any match where your support, dex and tech are average is not that high. Even at the extremes of stat differences your chance is never 100% so don't expect one or any of these outcomes.

@Above: Tell that to the Merc in Jugg who critted everything AND blocked everything. And deflected.

I think that deflections have increased really badly. Due the fact that more players have higher tech then support. I for one can barely use my gun anymore, since I only have 34+22 tech (but hey! what can I do as a BM?). I said this before this.. "feature" was changed and I still say the same. This will only make more things balanced then it already is.

I think that deflection rate should be able to go above 25%, there's not that many people that have way more than 75-100 technology. (Seeing that most of them are Cyber Hunters or Tactical Mercenaries which abuse strength) This will only help other classes have more of a defense against strength users and their guns... even though they need massive amounts of Technology.(Since: Technology/3=Deflection Rate*With a Max of 25%)

But that would just encourage tank builds even more. (Which are op in 2 v 2, since most people above lvl 30 have a bot)

There are also less and less merc/tlm's with support builds because their only reliable attack is artillery strike, since their crits and rages are more commonly deflected nowadays, since deflections move to tech.

I'll look into the calculations for block vs deflection and see if anything is amiss.

Yeah, Since they moved up Deflection Effect from "Support" to "Tech" (Sadly), i really expect that to happen, If "CH" Malfed you then absolutely they have more technology =Result= More Def chance and this is how it goes, I don't know what's the purpose of moving it up from support to tech, They said cause the support has too many effects. i say that just they want to make CH more Op, and i remember this was the last Improvement of CH!
