I am Avex. I alway's knew I was diffirent. My mother trembled when I tried to make friends. My father shouted when I was kind. My brother's, Drayson and Frage, constantly made fun of me for not being able to beat them in a fight. Noone ever understood me, my life was simply shrouded in mist. I hated my life, I was on the verge of suicide. Every night I dreamed. I can only remember one dream clearly. It was a foggy night. I was at the Spectral Alter, a place to pay respect's to the fallen. I had an amulet around my neck. A skull was on it. I heard a loud crash, and turned around. I gazed into the eyes of a mysterious man. He brandished his sword, and pointed at me. I was paralyzed. He then began speaking. "Drakath may have fallen, and Aren may takke his place, but there are still thing's to be taken care of. When the time is right, you shall know your destiny." He suddenly swung his blade at me. A dark blade materialized in my hand's. I brought it up, and our blades clashed. He was strong, and slowly overpowered me. He shoved me to the ground, and lifted his blade above my head... "AVEX!!!" my mother screamed. She dragged me out of bed. I groaned, and got up. She told me breakfast was ready, and we were running low on breakfast food's. When I arrived at our table, I noticed I had nothing but a soggy spinache sandwich. Every one else had bacon, egg's, and chickencow meat. "My favorite..." I groaned. Suddenly, my dad slapped me. He screamed at me, talking about how I should have better manners. I felt a nudge. Sticking my hand under the table, I felt the soft hands of my sister, Julia, handing me a piece of her bacon. I pocketed it. Julia was the only person who had ever treated me kindly. I glanced at her, and she looked at me like she didn't do anything. I walked out the door. I slowly walked to school, eating the piece of bacon Julia gave me. Later on at school, we had a lecture on magic. Today was the day the teachers decided what element we would be studying for the rest of the semester. I got light. Great. Light was my worse element. I couldn't cast a light spell, period. One more failed class for me. Yay! To Be Continued...
