Which did you prefer? The old blood mages with berzerker or the new blood mages with bludgeon?

Obviously the one with Berzerker.
With Berzerker, you could deal Damage in both types, unlike Bludgeon which is locked to Physical.
The reason it got changed was because it was overpowered.
No matter how many people prefer it over the new one, it isn't getting changed, just like how TLM isn't getting Smoke back or how Tech Mages aren't getting their Plasma Rain back with Tech.

I prefer the underpowered BM...but that's the past now.

I prefer the age of creativity. Seems we either make a strength build and take quick wins and losses or go tank and take slow wins and slow losses.

With all these strength and defense builds I really don't see why they can not improve the rate at which skills consuming energy increase such as multis and grenades.

What about support? Its been gone for far too long now. This new mutating infernal weapon was a little bit of a start to get support builds back but its still mainly for str builds once again. We really need medic to adjust with support again so there is something else to go with than just str.

Yes, when tact mercs still had smokescreen. At the same time, the formula for % of increased damage skills was different compared to what it is now.

I class change in order to play the "underpowered" class, and there was a good 6-7 months where you would not see a Blood Mage for 50 battles. If you did, he didn't have fireball, thats for sure. Blood Mage used to be my favorite class. It was hard to find a build that work, and I enjoyed taking the time to make one that did. My signature is still from when Blood Mage was underpowered and underused, I have just been to lazy to change it.

I like it now, because I hadn't been high enough level on any of my accounts to start seeing bloodmages, and this account has only seen one version.

I always used tech abuse build when I was a bloodmage. By far my fav build. Max plasma cannon, high level SC and max bloodlust. Worked pretty good for me. :D

I used a Tech build. It gets owned by Str BMs, but it does work well.

I prefer the new BM class. It is still overcharged, but at least it is a slight improvement.

What if they change bludgeon into a debuff skill?

There is already one called Intimidate. Give 'em Smoke or Malf and you've just killed balance completely. :) (BL + Smoke/Malf + DA + Fireball)

Truth be told, I dislike both "versions". The BM class ruined the little balance we once had...

Make fireball increase with support. That is how you balance blood mages

BM with bludgeon is fine. The only problem is dex and strength, strength needs a nerf. About dex... I never block a BM, even if I have much more dex then any STR BM out there...but they block me very often.

Guys, we're talking about a comparison, not a balance discussion...I don't want this thread locked for being off-topic.. :(
