Current Retrain: charges a fee determined from character level, costing credits

Suggested Retrain: 1 retraining is allowed per hour, for free

Why? I occasionally play with alternate accounts, especially new characters. As a free-2-play player, retraining is possibly the most expensive. This may be because different equipment requirements cause one to abandon their current set up and retrain to be able to use another. For this reason, free-2-play are given an unnecessary challenge as credits being their form of currency are charged because of trying to improve their character whether the cause be requirements or a different skill tree.

I suggested a 1 hour limit to retrain since characters are memory stored in either a database or client file or a templated list of fields. To be simple, a 1 hour limit prevents server from lagging more than necessary from having to rewrite character data back into the memory.

Another suggestion, to improve the retraining feature as a utility, allow the inventory to be accessible while retraining. Be able to equip an item even if requirements are not met, but only complete the retraining process once all requirements are met and everything stat'd. Having to retrain once to 5th Focus to basically be able to equip any item is a nuance to both the servers and to the players... especially if the action takes unnecessary credits from free-2-play players who use them to buy their equipment (especially for the lower the level they may be).

nah not supported. if you mess up on a build you should pay for it. 1 per hour free? 24 retrains a day not paying? definitely not supported. maybe like once a month

Not supported, only for people who have credits to pay with. But if this pirson is flat broke a free daily retrain seams fair untill they get the cash to pay with. Then they pay up front again. Sorta like a handout for the poor.

Sometimes the need to change the build is the user's fault. Sometimes it is beyond their control. For example, if I had a level 16 character and had it buy a level 20 weapon that has the stats I need but not the requirements... and to use it I would be required to spec just 1 stat point. Now I have to retrain once to equip the item, and possibly once more to re-spec the entire build. That may be up to 1, 000 credits spent to actually use the item, adding to the total cost of what the purchase was worth, even though you can not be refunded your credits spent on retraining.

Altogether, EpicDuel is a game to play to both enjoy and be sensible if you want success. Success does not have to be spending a week in your basement making the ultimate levelling blueprint just to avoid minor failures that may pull your progress back in a minor or major way.
