This small guide gives the description of most things you can do in a post.
to change a post you made, just press the edit button and edit away

and to delete your post just click on the delete button of course.

I actually believe what the author was looking for is this kind of effect.
You an achieve it by using the:
[s][/s]
around the words you want to cross.
For an example:
[s]Striking example[/s]

will become
Striking example
