This will now change the game face of all Epicduel :) IT was just announced that there were no longer be NPC's Wins in Epicduel in Omega. How will this change the game ;D
quote:

Changes to NPCs

Today we wanted to go over some changes to how NPC fights will work in Omega. We want NPCs to fill the purposes of:

1) training or testing builds

2) gaining credits

3) furthering missions and the storyline

They currently fill some other purposes that we want to move away from, including padding battle records, faction farming, and leveling.

Some of the changes are as follows:

NPC fights no longer count towards your battle record. We want the Leaderboards and your battle record to clearly reflect your PvP accomplishments instead of forcing players to farm NPCs to pad their win rates.
You can now fight NPCs an unlimited number of times.
NPCs will not give experience after level 5. This will allow new players to be eased into the battle system, but afterwards we want the focus to be on PvP. This also allows leveling players to get credits without continuing to level if they feel like they are falling behind.
NPCs will no longer give Battle Tokens or Influence. Since you can fight them without limit, we don’t want factions or players to farm them for Tokens or Influence. Again, we want the focus here to be on PvP.
NPCs will not give rewards if you lose. We don’t want people to purposely lose to NPCs over and over, so you will need to win to get Credits or other rewards.
Brainwashing is removed since it is no longer necessary.

Finally now the records will reflect your actual work and not people grinding on NPC for easy wins.

Plus since they offer credits and you can farm them without limit you can keep up gain credits without the fear of falling behind. This is a good thing.

Only players who farm NPC for free wins if anything. Besides if they want to farm for credits without worry they should be happy new since they can do it now without fear of adding losses to their battle record.

Won't affect me, my record is purely PVP. Explaining why its not insane like most players, i only have 700 more wins than losses in 1vs1

Excellent, I've always thought wins should only be from pvp battles.

It's ok, you probably never saw those ppl anyway. They're too busy fighting the NPC's.

One question. What about wars? Infernal war involved npc fighting in 1vs1 and 2vs2 with possibilty of a mix pvp and npc. Ebil war 100% npc. So how does one earn influence of these war battles (when influence earnings are at it's highest) if influence is excluded with npc battles.

@unkown
most likely it will still be NPCs.
but its gonna suck.

if its gonna be like this for wars, ill stick to regular battles where it will count, in my record.

@STRUTT: Couldn't stop myself from laughing at that...

I feel this'd be great. It won't help buffer disproportionate records, but it'll still help those who are undergeared return to a strong state after some farming. I'm hoping there's an improved or modified NPC AI anyways, because as of now fighting them multliple times can get a tad bit boring...

For war events we can build special rules for NPCs so I wouldn't worry about this change's effect on future wars.

@nightwraith
if ur gonna have NPCs in a war like the infernal war
PLEASE do not make them award extra influence. its not necessary given the fact that NPCs were virtually unlimited hten and will be now...

@ goldslayer

Only the infernal war did that not the ebilcorp war. The last war only award normal influence.

A level 5 with 100k credits? AWESOME! xD
It has now become a possibility without spending a ton of cash :D

I love it
I've never been big on NPC'ing, however I have fought around probably 500 free wins off of NPC's half of that during the ebilcorp war, but not against those bugs, I fought in the war itself

The other half was around level 31 and 32 when I changed to techmage, but only had gear to fit blood mage

Ah, nostalgia...

Question:

So, According To This Concept... Now NPCs Such As Titan, Nightwraith, Charfade, Big Tuna, Rabblefroth, Etc...

Will NOT Count As Wins Or Loses? Is That Correct?

So, In Theory, A Level 30, Could Battle Titan 100 Times And This Will Not Count On Their Battle Records?

The Courtesy Of A Reply From The Staff Regardring This Would Be Most Appreciated.

Thank You.

~ Buffy

@Buffy

It's all in the design notes! No NPC will count for the win-loss record. Even those special NPCs! :)
