 Just before Gamma started everyone was freaking out about mercs being OP. And in a week, when TLM came out, when people learned how to counter ( at least try to vs the original TLM), when they found ways to counter merc that could heal 3x as much and use atom smasher and frenzy, suddenly merc was pronounced UP! How? How is that even possible you ask? No change was applyed to any of the 3 original classes, TM and BH to merc stayed the same. Merc went from OP to UP with NO change besides players skills.
The same way BH is the only class that has never been changed, buffed or nerfed, except for massacre change. And now it suddenly became OP? No... Same as for merc, players only have to learn how to counter it and i assure you, any class and basically any GOOD build can counter them.

Artillery strike was nerfed heavily, stat requirements were added.

All classes were nerfed, except BH, which is why it became OP
Merc got nerfed because of what Shadow Prince said, plus new, stronger armors came out, making a 5 defense skill nearly useless, and when strength was abused, the class plundered

Mainly because some counters don't work well against other popular builds. STR overall has become basically uncouterable due to enhancements. Good thing this all changed in omega.

Au contraire, dex + tech tanks and casters, and 5 focus are more effective than STR BH/CH/BM.
People who disagree might have not played Epicduel recently.

OP is only imaginary if we as a species are unable to understand the mathematical concept behind it, just like anything else that is imaginary in math-based operations (ROOT(-1))

If something is more powerful than something else of identical intended power, it is OP. There is no opinion regarding whether or not something is overpowered, it either is or it isn't, and that all depends on the math.

BH had Shadow Arts nerfed and if I can remember correctly, BH has been called OP early Gamma around christmas time, which resulted in Massacre doing less damage than it does now.

And I believe no classes are OP at all, but if i HADDDD to choose, it'd be BM only because if you look at the LB's, all the BM's have the best %. Only from what i seen. When I fight them they don't seem OP either.

Yes, this perfectly explains why the developers are remaking the entire combat engine. Because nothing was OP.

You see, Mercenary is the weakest class for me.

All it takes is one person to get a certain amount of Gear to create a build for that certain class. Once people notice it, people are all over that.
There are these evolution/ hybrid classes that just over power their parenting class(es).

Something else:
I have tried to go for the 1v1 championship 3 times and stupid things prevented me from doing so...
In early Delta, I was going for it as a Non-Varium, and Massacre got nerfed and I had to pull out since it was "worthless".
As a Str BM, I went for it, only to find out Berzerker got removed. (Without notice)
I went as a Str BH recently, a stupid power cut screwed me over for the last 6 hours.

on topic i think the BH and BM are extremely OP (on cerrtain builds)strengh being the main one given the fact theyre extremely difficult to counter im not saying its impossible but when you find urselve trying all sorts of different tactics and builds to counter them and ur still sat their praying to the gods for the luck to beat them . Theirs a problem with balance . god knows what the non vars doo prolly just get obliterated,

I also have to admit the tank 5 focus TLM build is op IF you have IA however im a lil more reluctant to say i want them nerfed considering its the only truely viable decent build they have left to compete with the other classes IMHO.

As a str abusing BH for now, I can say that the non vars are doing just as well as the vars against me
If the non var is a str BH, which a large amount of them are, they can win simply by going first
And I agree that TLM with IA is OP, but like you said, removing that build would make the already nerfed down class useless

So str BH and 5 focus BM are the two OP classes
(Strange enough, I lose to this one non var BM than any var BM)

I have also used a Dexterity Build:

Weapons: Infernal Interdictor, Dage's Skiull Boomstick, Wraith Cannon, Beast Rider E F

The build was:

4-5-8
5-1-x
7-4-x
x-3-x


With minimal strength (12-15 I believe) high defense (31-38+8) mediocre resistance (24-29+9) ok aux damage (16-20+39)

But you have to admit, the win rate for the 5 focus with it is higher than those two, which is what this is coming down to
I have made strength and 4 focus builds as well, so I guess I should say "useless" so much as less effective

5 focus is it's simplest and most effective build
Anyone can spam healing until their rages
It's like the strength abuse BH problem, it has other builds, people just lean to this one because it has advantages over the others
