Yes I did get a new name, "37",
but I am somewhat disappointed that:
•players inactive for over 1 year
•players with Alpha weapons
Still get to keep their name. You know, there are probably hundreds of these cases, and they likely have not played for over 3 years now. They probably even forgot their username and password, and will probably never revisit EpicDuel, so I do not see why they should hog the display names.
Why a rare weapon entitles them to stockpile display names, I do not know.
E D I T (please read): I think our problem here is that when Titan and Rabblefroth commence a character sweep, they do not have support for removal of a display name, only for deleting character records of what I am hearing is true.
You should be able to delete only the display name, and when a player without a display name logs in to their username, they are prompted to enter a new display name like you do when creating a new character. THIS way, you developers do not have to worry about the guilt or consequences of erasing a player you may believe is deeply rooted as a member of your game.
Edit: Diaplay is not a word, I blame the small keyboard.
