I started playing in beta.
It was a magical moment,
I had found a fun PvP game.
Smooth and easily went in and challenged players from around the world.
Battle after battle after battle.
Freedom of different builds, better varium package.
Can not believe it's the same game that I play now.
When I saw so many possibilities,

For me it has come and gone different periods in the ED.
But it has not progressed in the same sense as it was in beta.
I had expected more focused on pvp.
Examples that come are 1vs2 and alliance boss fight.
Had imagined so much more current PvP

Perhaps tournaments, Gold yeti thing came now.
But perhaps a more regular tournament.
You press a button loads looking opponent.
16 players lvl 35 when they have found 16 players to start the tournament.
Then you are met 1vs1 until only one winner there.

Then they want everyone to be as strong and so on.
Yes it takes away the joy. If you play more or pay.
So it should lead to a stronger than their enemies.
Has free player hard to farm credits. could they put more profit there.

Perhaps more teamwork, to creating a team of two with a friend.
There, you meet another team with two friends.
As has been proposed numerous times.

Could introduce fac war.
There fac leader decided to attack another fac.
Then you can have 5 players on each team.
Where you meet 1vs1 until one of the fac won.
Like you, the fac leaders press a button.
Then starts a clock and then you have a certain amount of time to assemble a squad.
As will be met. Could have increase the number of Members fac one could have.
So then you could more or less count on someone could jump into the squad.

So I expected the following when I started playing epicduel.
PvP game that is really fun imagine what it is about 4 years?
Then, you are here now.
What I see are that the focus on PVP.
Has become worse. Then it's all about everyone to be equally strong.
Around the same amount of life, more missions, etc..
Houses clothes etc.

What happen to the feeling?
Existing a fun PvP game that I played.
I want lvl cap should be raised.
I want multiple choice options regarding PvP battles.
I do not want everyone to be as strong.
(The ability to be as strong can be.)
But the weapons will be unique and speciela besides appearance.
Perhaps the possibility of introducing new classes.
Then I had the feeling that when it came three new classes.
So it was an upgrade of the old.
That made so that they new was stronger than the old ones.
Like the 50,000 credits 900 varium for an equally strong class.??

I had many positive dreams of epicduel.
But seems like they release focus too much on it that what drew me here.
I did not come for the sake of clothes or house.
Or assignments, etc..
I came for PvP, And I pay for benefits,
And to sponsor the game to be able to do more PvP things.

Like I might log in and play 1-2 hours.
Then I have no desire to be in my house. Or have nice clothes and so on.
I want to spend my time with fun PvP.
Sometimes some quick battles with crazy builds.
Sometimes a little more chewy builds as the battle takes longer.
NPC is welling nothing I'm targeting.
Besides boss fights. As can be fun.
Specielt with a friend at his side.

Funniest things I've experienced since beta is the following.
No. 1,
Higher levels and when I logged in and saw a new lvl cap.
It grew so much in me and I started playing so much more.
Then I wanted to come up to the lvl.
No 2.
1vs2 is not as fun as it felt like to start hacking on small players.
(new players)
But liked the idea. Then it can develop even higher lvls.
So you could as two 35 players face a lvl 40 players?
But it'll swell not happen in the first place lol
No 3.
Alliance boss fight. Very fun thing to do.
But as I said do not usually hunt bosses
No 4.
Yeti tournament. Funny and good idea.
Some small changes to not have to be online 24/7.
More to meet other players.
and moving on to the next opponent if you win.
You can also do that kind of fac vs. fac.

The worst things I've experienced since beta.
No 1.
varium packages seems to always get worse and worse quality.
No 2.
Less focus on PvP and more focus on the house and clothes etc..
No 3.
Then the worst thing.
Players who play more than others, or deposit real money.
Do not have the same advantages against other players.
Sure that you want to have balance, and so on.
But if a free player plays 30-40 hours a week.
So he'll have some sort of advantage against a free player.
Who plays 10 hours a week example.
Or such as pay players and we will have the advantage.
In free players.

Like the weapon should be different strengths.
Armor will be different and so good.
Different cores for different lvls etc.
There must be a sense to play more or pay.
Each update made.
Costs a core 7000 credits.
As a regular player, so it has no problems.
Buying into the core that fits his build.
That should get maybe 5-8 pieces at a time.
Increase the price to 10,000 credits each.
As a regular player can afford 1-3 maybe
And a player who plays more affordable 4-6
And varium players can afford all of them if they want.

Anyhow.
Want back epicduel that I fell in love in.
PVP
Varium advantages.
Players who play more get more benefits and so on.

Include a TL;DR please

I felt pretty confused when I started, not noticing Strike existed until lv15... yep.

Actually, being a free player requires a bit of dedication if you wish to get what you want.
At the start of Omega, i had about 30k saved up, which is about the most I've ever held on to for one moment in time.
After adding three cores, bringing a level 25, a lv 33, and three lv 34 equips all to 35, I was just about broke.

I don't play quite as regular as I once did, but buffing the HB items I got from level 1 to 35 seems to be a monumental task, even without purchasing cores.
I actually think the prices are just fine, perhaps just a little on the high side. But a very regular player, perhaps about four to five hours a day, can manage to play on equal ground with a varium player (granted they are of equal skill), but they will be stuck to a single set of weapons and armor. Call me crazy, but I would like to have more than one set.

And variums still have a fairly good advantage, being able to purchase things much faster, as well as the latest promo. I swear, every time I see those in 1v1, I can't help but shudder and feel the urge to type in gg as soon as the fight begins

TL;DR: He's still fussy about Varium being "Devalued, worthless, et cetera.", and wants the price on cores to be increased so that they're even more unobtainable. Also, I saw no actual questions, more of a rant, to be honest. I, personally, am enjoying the balance the game has (somehow) achieved.

Pretty interesting, as I started when Gamma was fairly new.

Well said, I agree. I really don't like seeing those things.

I played non var from the beta all the way up till the cap got raised, and being a non var player stunk. 1v1 was almost a suicide mission when you run into varium players and you were stuck into 2v2 to have a chance (which didn't matter much to me since I enjoy 2v2 a lot more anyway) You saw each class carrying basically the same weapons *cough mjolnir cough* and armors. Now I am a varium player and I believe the changes to the game were overall good. I'm feeling like I did when I started playing, everything is brand new and fun! :)

TL;but I did read.

It still seems that you're still mad about the value of Varium.
Varium is not an insta-win type of thing. Now that we're in Omega, it's being touted as a convenience currency. Of course, with lots of grinding, the free player can come up to par with the varium player.

And besides, ThePriest, if you have 30-40 hours free every week, you could just credit grind. I don't have that much free time, so if I feel like something is worth buying, but I don't have enough Credits (I usually have under 10k), I use Varium.

Oh, and Kirachan has a valid point.

When I first played, I remember being one win from level 5 and a level 8 in 2v2 allowed me to defeat him.
People were so much nicer back then.

First time I played... I literally had no idea what I was going to do and was terrible with builds back then, but now I'm prime and ready for anything that comes at me. At least now I get less being called a noob for healing then back then.

I can hardly remember the first time I played ED 12/5/2009 was such a long time ago but chances are I was a total noob and I know that I refused to malf with my caster build until around lv 30 because I had three styles of tech mages; casters, breakers, and hybrids and I was a caster

It took me a while to realize that ED is based largely around math and strategy.

Nice to make a topic like this and then turn it into the exact same thead you've made about 20 times now...

Anyway, I remember getting the skill bloodlust the firs time I leveled up cause it looked cool. And I just thought epicduel was the coolest thing I've ever played. I have no idea why. And I still don't. But it is.

At first i was freaking out because this was the weirdest AE game i ever played so i quit for a year

Then i got SERIOUSLY bored of the other AE games so i forced myself to play epicduel. I figured i had to beat the city guard until i leveled up, my bad i was fighting the level 3 one T_T. Some level 35 was picking on me at level 4 and killed me with multi shot. It became my new fav skill next to EMP. I didn't know about wasting stat points so my win record was off......but my PvP fights were always epic, and everyone was so nice to me, i made so many friends

Then i finally got my first real email. I figured i should just abandon my char and start fresh, this time with more knowledge of the game. R.I.P. VegaObscura, you had the best 18 levels of memories a guy could ever have.

Now as Decepticon my record was great withmy experience, but i began to encounter many mean people who made fun of me and called me "nob." I started to take this game very seriously now. I didn't have as many freinds as VegaObscura, but it still was a great experience for me.

I don't know how, but now im a lame cyber with a horrible record and six friends :/

guess all good things come to an end....i miss those days as VegaObscura.....

It was extremely interesting.

I ran around the lobby with no idea what was going on, loading the Vendbot took 5 minutes, clicking my inventory, equipped light blades, unequipped them again, bought a silver scimitar, realized I couldn't cheap-shot with it, sold it within 10 seconds, oh, and only realized clicking the skulls meant I could PvP after getting to LV12. :p

I started in beta and had no idea about how the game worked. I had a noobish hp abusing build and after lvl 12, I quit the game for like 2-3 years before returning. There needs to be a tutorial for those new players.

@Trifire
Yeah, I thought the devs were going to be doing something like that, as the lower level playerbase would benefit from a tutorial.

Isn't there a tutorial/help-like section on the game's site?

Anyways, I felt like a noob too. I started off as TM, fought a BH who was 3 levels higher than me, and got influenced to play BH. I was a noob with BH too, and saw the tanking bunker users so I switched to merc. After getting to level 25 through really lame builds that made no sense, I quit after I lost my beta account. Back in gamma (I started playing in beta) I got hooked back onto the game and started fresh as a merc and worked all the way to the level 30s, where I got my first varium promo: frostbane! Too bad I was a fool and sold it along with a lot of other promos. At this point I actually learned how to play ED well.
