I played consistently during Beta, it was fun back then. Since that point my involvement in the game has been sporadic at best. I started to play a fresh during this release because i had an opportunity to dust of old weapons and i had hoped re - kindle and interest in Epic Duel. I had also hoped it might attract some other absent players from giving it another go. Epic Duel attracts younger players now. Wither that was arguably the long term intention or it's just become the case, I don't know. But the fact is, players of my peer group who played this game early on are no longer present. You obviously can't blame young people for being immature and behaving as they do but, i don't chose to be involved in such an environment anymore. It's not a game that appears to be aimed at players like myself so, regretfully, i will probably not play further. is their anyone else on the forum who feels this way too? Who hoped this release might inspire some old players to come back?

Well, i didnt care much about old players coming back as i myself started in delta (yeah late huh).

But im 100% sure their are way more players then in delta from Beta/gamma phases.
I've seen alot more Gamma bots since Omega, alot more players with good win rates, alot more good players.
And im happy with that, more challenges for me :)

One of the few chocks i had once epicduel became part of AE was the player base actuality. So i somewhat understand, just that i have already got accustomed to.
It was somewhat of an attraction, i didn't even mind the "Elite" players despite how disadvantageous i was against them. XD

The bad behavior really came with the younger player base, it is a bummer, just don't let it ruin your experience.

However, about the old friends, maybe they just have no idea of the update. Though, there are still a couple of great fellows to talk to and meet.

3-4 years ago, the game was geared towards older players (BH female armor).
They merged with AE and slowly the population turned towards the AE population (median age preteen).
However, with the release of OS and the new 3D game, there may be a push towards having younger and older games... we'll see.

Oh tell me about it, Liz. I feel exactly like you.

There are two things which would turn me more into the game:
- a Mute Chat button
- more freedom to experiment with builds and cores without spending zillions of credits into it. Because right now the game is absurdly thought:

I am a casual players who gets bored easily but loves ED concept, so I'd usually change build or class very often. But that costs a lot so I cannot afford to do that too often therefore I sometimes skip playing for weeks because I log in and say 'oh this build again...'.

@Comicalbike. I'm sure you're be missed. (Even if you are an infrequent visitor EZRA still has a way to go...) I do get the impression that a number of players from the boards who, were once great supporters of the game have lost interest. You do expect that over the passage of time but, the game environment hasn't encouraged people to stay. I've not seen or heard from Fay Beee for a long time for example, and others too.

I'm playing less now, too, but that's because I play other games.
