Back in Gamma in exile were at least 600 players online,now....Omega had to bring more players in the game right? All i see that people are leaving...Why is that?

Depends on the time during the day. Usually during PH, 3rd server is open at least but that also depends on the day. It's middle of the week.

@Trans
I am playing this game since 2010 and I always logged in Exile server (I did that from the beginning of my days in Ed) .Trust me,is not the middle of the week to blame..and I think old players know what I am talking about. Is just sad what is happening because I love this game...and someone should do something about this.

I a lotn of places it is spring break. People are on vacation with their families is my guess.

Of course it could just be it is the middle of the day and people are offline

In Gamma a full server had 800 people maximum but they exceeded it to 1000 so more people decide to go on epic because it's easier to find battles.

It's true. The game has gotten progressively worse.

It's not rocket science.

Well yes, pretty much. The game has gotten worse for those of us who were around when we really enjoyed it. The values behind the updates are no longer really in the players interest, the story has gotten overly complex and almost completely impossible to follow (I miss BigTuna), and the developers seem to focus on content/story updates and the new promo rather than new game mechanics which could really benefit the game. I know I have not logged in months. I stopped in to see what Omega was all about, didn't really like it, in fact I found it worse than Delta, and so I went back to my other games. I've spent way to much time and money on this game to worry about its development anymore. Its a shame, because I think ED had/could still have a bright future, but a lot of things need to change in order for me to come back, and I don't see that happening any time soon. I imagine there are plenty of people who are in the same boat. In fact, it being spring break, you would think MORE people would be online, because most don't have school, and the majority probably can't afford to travel with the economy how it is.

Just my two cents 2 quarters[?]...if you skimmed over what I wrote, its pretty much exactly what Frog said just a little longer, and I think its pretty accurate.

What nexus said in a nutshell. I remember back when the infernal war was playing back in delta and the exile server had plenty of people on it. Heck there used to be tons of people playing in delta, but now? It is so empty.

As for myself I don't play as much anymore either since I too am starting to lose interest in the game since I barely log on like I used too and I find myself doing other things with my time.

It depends mostly on what is going on.
I'm not online much (maybe 1/10?) as I was back in Delta since the game lost it's touch fun. If I really quit, then I've wasted all the money I've spent on this game.

During Power Hour, there should be more people since they are interested in the double Credits, Experience...
Its no surprise for me since a lot of people "quit".

I think its always been like this. During the week-days, there are only about 500 people online. People have a life (school, work...).
The storyline is also messed up. Frysteland was Legion's land and once you completed the last Mission from the saga this year, it gave you an Achievement stating "you are welcome...". If you were Legion, weren't you always welcome?

I see a lot of posts that I call. They tell you that the game's more PvP and that it is time for you to leave if you don't enjoy it. It is more PvP but there's more luck involved with these stupid Cores. They are absolutely ridiculous.

Speaking as a player who started palying this game since september 2009, (you can check on my profile), this game is undoubtedly on its critical times. Omega release has been a make or break for this game and im a bit sad that the "break" is overwhelming rather than "make". The dev's must take an immediate action or else, all their effort will be put into waste. The idea of "we are planning good things on this game in the near future" doesn't sound convincing anymore. What we need to see now is the implementation of the beautiful things they promise to us before, not just promises. I haven't log in on ED for 4 days now and i consider it critical for me because i never did that before for almost 4 years. Anyway, im looking forward for the Epic Egg hunt release, who knows, it might bring the excitement back.

good luck devs, and do something exciting for us please.

Its so fun to see these threads sometimes because there is no real data to back up most of the claims. Guys, daily player counts have stayed pretty much the same since Omega release. Epic's player count was increased moving most of the players to that server and Exile gets the sloppy seconds sometimes during the week. The numbers even themselves out to be about the same. We have considered lowering Epic again to 800 to boost Exile, but we haven't seen the necessity to do that yet since on weekends player counts have been high.

@ Charfade

With all my respect, the problem is that: if epic is full i can't play in exile anymore(i play 2v2) so the game won't find me a match.Since epic was enlarged the exile server is to small for various play...even so,back in delta Exile always had enough players in it,during the week...trust me i was here every day with a few exceptions.
There are new players ,but where are the old ones? How can we get them back,or attract more new ones? There are players (or was)that play ed from work or after work ,not only school kids...so new players +old ones should make a bigger number...So the conclusion is that I must think that ED became(after omega) a weekend game?

You also have to realize we are at the end of an arc and their isn't much reason to play if you don't want or need credits for the gear out right now. Once this coming arc is released you will have an increase in activity as people work to complete it and get the eggs. Then there will be another decrease in general population as people aren't striving for a goal and then the cycle will repeat

Next time guys AKA forum members; if we are going to argue about things like this. Always try to use:

P.oint
E.vidence
E.xplanation

to back up your answers then one day the developers will be wrong ;D.

But yes I did see an increase of players. I bet those increase of players are lower level levels. Every time I woke up at 8:00am GMT , the epic server use to be only 500 people in delta. Whenever I come on in Omega, it is 700 people. Now that's an increase.

The only problem now is that there are less higher level players playing then lower level players. I have done a test of results comparing different type of levels on how long it takes to get into a 2v2 battle.

http://s1327.photobucket.com/user/anyg11/media/PROOF_zps77336c06.png.html

As you can see, after you are level 30 the battle takes a bit longer. this shows that level 30-35 players are not playing much as they use to.

Or there isn't enough players, since formula for match-ups will aim for the closest possible and then go onto wider ranges. Time of the day does have to be taken into the account because top levle players may be on during free time so they can play more (experienced) whilst lower levels may log in for the sake of it, do few battles and quit for few days or so, and come back whenever.

Also, it doesn't show there's less players. Do you have data from Delta to compare it to? Since you did compare it in your last sentence; "not playing much as they use to" - which does suggests you have some data which you've compared it to, right? :P

^ Maybe he meant as much as they used to when they were lower level.

Hulk, that isn't technically proof, because we cant see the proof, just the graph, but how did you get seconds that exact?

Obviously I don't have data from delta since I was not thinking about that issue. But the problem is that delta is long gone, and will never come back. If I did go back, I would have recorded those results. But whts the point of recording them if I don't get payed? So no point of doing it

I got it from a program that I made and no I am not giving you a link to my program. It took hard work to make it. I use it for other stuff, but i tried it on ED and it worked.

Yes, I know my data is incorrect and I didn't say there were less players. I said that there is less higher level players playing because of reasons which will not want to make them play.

I do not agree with you guys.
Just because exile's count got lower does not mean it is because epicduel lost it's uniqueness or the game got progressively worse...
I do not think it is right to blame game developers left and right of how it's there fault how they make balances.
I am in my opinion speaking for most mature people the uniqueness in this game greatly improved and I'm very excited to what is going to happen later in omega.

Tweaked a few things in this post so that it demonstrates a more positive and constructive behavior. ~eVentus

@BadWitch

I talked to Titan about changing the player count numbers back to 800 player cap per server. I agree that there were times where Epic was full and Exile only had a few players on it making battles harder to find. The team discussed it and we switched it back. ^^ It was really a test to see how it would do. Hope its better for you now! ^^

I really wish I could supply you guys with the data to show you that EpicDuel player trends are actually increasing. Especially at the lower levels. But its AE's policy not to release those kind of numbers to the public. Mainly because if they become public other competitor companies can use that information. I guess your just going to have to trust my word which I know is not really the answer you would like. :|

First I must say:Thank you for your interest, and I am really happy that you decided to make the servers back the way it was...Is great for me if i have fights available
Second:I am really glad to know that ED is attracting new players...and hope that the old ones will decide that, there are enough reasons to stay and battle on..
And last thing:After the egg hunt release I was happy to see legion server unlocked again and I must say, Great job you guys!!

I'm glad the staff is taking an interest and trying to fix problems the fans point out, when it's in their best interest. Unlike some other companies that just dismiss complaints, even when warranted.

Anyways, I do have to agree it can be hard to find a fight during certain situations. Luckily the egg hunt encouraged more PvPing.
