TLM vs MERC

Over the past few weeks, I have found that TLM is weaker than Merc as smoke is replaced by FC. Worst still, it costs 50k credits to upgrade TLM from Merc.

 Funny. Evolved classes =/= more power. This was stated already many times. It's for the variety of skills, not more power. Also TLM can do powerful builds, ones that Merc cannot.

 With the infernal android nerf, TLM is now a far weaker class than it once was. It can still hold its own in 1v1 fairly well, but it's not nearly that good in 2v2, especially if you get your energy taken away at the start of the fight. Merc is an amazing class in 2v2 because it can tank and resist a lot of damage dealt to it, while having a multitude of choices for an instant static damage boost. However, a single luck factor with merc can absolutely kill you. A block on atom or zerker will most often destroy you.

IMO Mercenary is by far weaker than the Tactical Mercenary. EMP Grenade and Mercenary is no longer a threat. Tacticals have reroute and Blood Sheild is actually pretty effective no matter what other people say.

those 2 skills is what makes TLM really good, most skills MERC has is not as comparable to ones that TLM have

TLMs now have the highest win rate in 1v1. IMO it is one of the best classes right now and is definitely better than Mercenary.

TLM's can't heal loop as much as they could before because boosters are temporarily unavailable (or is it?)
They also last more rounds than other classes which meant that they could use IA with full power which has also been nerfed, i still think TLM is a class with variety but is not as effective as it used to be.
I think TLM do not need a nerf though they are quite a powerful class, i think that mercenary just needs a buff to make it more vicious and attractive to use.

 The problem with TLMs is that they can't counter against repeated attacks of high damage. The only way they can counter is to heal, and they can only do that once every 4 turns. Their energy can also be easily controlled so that they can't heal.

 Mercs are not weak. Wasn't it only a few weeks ago that half the world was complaining about strength and support abusers? Mercs can be pretty formidable. Problem is, their core skills are too similar to those of TLM. Bunker Buster, Intimidate, Maul and Adrenaline are sideshows and gimmicks at best, and hardly affect Merc performances at the top levels. Conversely, Reroute is an absolute game-changer, and therein lies the advantage TLMs will always have over Mercs. There needs to be a greater differentiation between the two classes.

@silver but that was weeks ago, mercs are near useless now, any emp, smoke, or malf and ur gone..

while TLM although cannot heal loop as good as they did in delta, they still loop more than mercs, then sergical builds are better, both are tanky, tlm got reroute, and atom smash loop + Emp cannot really stop them..
