The reason diminishing stats were put in place was to limit stat abusers and help out focus. Now that focus is pretty dominant, why not just get rid of diminishing stats?

Wouldn't removing diminishing stats just bring back the stat abusers once again?

well the dimishing stats are helping because they dont let u cross some overpowered with over 200 support.

If we remove the dimishing stats, every one will spam support build with multi = 2 hits dead.
Or str builds = again after berserker dead.

"help out focus" - lolwut? It's to stop abusers, not help Focus. Focus gained on it since they don't have to invest as much as abusers had to. Get rid off diminishing stats? Yeah, let's reverse these changes and go back to the beginning of Omega, right? Str and Support abuse instead, not mentioning Azrael's Will would have even more power (indirectly). Yep. Great.

Not supported.

yea trans. Like the 200 support builds without dimishing then people will get overgrown dmg like 70-80 with multi crit and aux crit.
Imagine rage berserker on 190 str also. Gonna do more than 90

Exactly. I don't see it any better than Focus fad at the moment, at least that one is beatable unlike old abusers. :V

The reason I am posting this idea is because I am hearing lots of complaints about focus builds.

There are two types of builds currently, stat abuse (pouring stats into a single attribute) and focus (spreading out stats amongst attributes).

Removing diminishing returns would help out the stat abusers.

@ cider

People are complaining about focus builds for the following reasons

1 the masses are using them at higher levels
2 they think they are unbeatable
3 they think they are OP
4 they want to face builds other then focus builds.

Also helping out stat abusers would make it so every other build that isn't abusing a stat to rely on luck to win which is something the masses seems to hate with a passion. In fact I see people complain more about luck then focus builds.

If you wanna help the abusers, fine. But they have to have drawbacks for the abuse. That drawback is diminishing returns. I don't see how different types of abuse (exactly two) will make it any better than it is now.

u do realize we would still have the same amount of stats?

the main reason focus is dominant is because they invest into defensive stats which is better than going with offensive stats.
while being focus, they still keep good damage while being tanks.

to give some of you a perspective of what i mean
101 dex/tech = 29-35 def/res
100 str/support = 19-23 primary/aux damage

why invest a 100 stats into str or support when u can invest it into something like tech while staying focus, have a good damage output, but have way more tanking capabilities? ohh right Logic says
Dex/tech > Str/Supp
