For the high price you pay, there should be a core that comes with it.

 The higher price is caused by rarity, not the art. The more rare an item is, the higher the price.

 @Spellzy: Did you just join in Omega, or were you playing ED in previous phases? Before mutating weapons were very rare and cost way more. They cost about 15k credits AND 1k+ varium. They were also rare and were hard to get because of LSQ or seasonal events.

You can buy it with varium or credits...
Credits are free to get that is why high cost is compulsary

 This would be an issue if the people who bought it didn't know there wouldn't be a core for it. I honestly don't see the problem since a person who bought it knew that he/she wouldn't get anything particularly special out of it, other than its rarity and its mutating properties.
