Ok, so i think i hav an idea. tech mages arent supposed to be a str abusing class, is it? it is based around using skills that are unblockable and stuff like that. then comes in deadly aim. too many glass cannons. they arent OP, just have a little advantage because of their skills for abusing str or support compared to other classes. to set them more in place the staff could maybe add a new skill in the place of deadly aim, that improves bot damage? a bit stronger than deadly aim cos guns hav 2 turn cooldown, bots hav 3. Obv, this will have to be done after the war, if at all.

Not supported in the least.

you are just trading one problem for another. If this did happen then people would just find something else to abuse with this and we will be back at this again.

Also passives will become active skill soon so as trae said lets wait until then.

I suggested a move like this for BH called "Foreign Gear" to replace Shadow Arts.

But you see, it doesn't work with TM because of Technician...yeah...

Shadow Arts brought many problems to the game before. "Foreign Gear" is preffered since it's more consistent and not luck-based.

Deadly aim is perfectly fine...before the nerf it was OP because you only had to have 4 skill points for 7 more damage, but now I think it got a little overnerfed to the point where you need massive skill point investment for similar damage.

And I could argue that BH isn't supposed to be a tech abusing class or a support build class, but they were both extremely successful builds sometime in the history of ED. I've also made a dex merc right now that is actually pretty good, even though there are pretty much no skills related to dex on its skill tree. Therefore, it isn't necessarily correct to change deadly aim because mages aren't supposed to have strength builds.

40% is a lot, it isnt luck.
40% total block chance(with smoke) 44 with ninja reflex

@ED Divine Darkness: Anything that depends on the RNG is luck, even if the odds are high (which in this case 44% is still less than half, although it's a quite ridiculous amount given the damage block penalty). There have already been many discussions on how shadow arts ruined the fun of a lot of builds because it just turned the already luck-based smoke builds into less strategic, more straightforward, lame, and boring builds. Massacre BHs back in Delta pretty much just ruined 1v1 to the point where I didn't want to play it; not because they were hard to beat, but because it was just the pinnacle of not having fun.
