When passives turn into actives, it might turn out to be horrible. So reroute, bloodlust, and passive armors could turn into helpful buffs....... that will be nerfed easily with azreal's aux.

What do you guys think should be done to avoid these?

well since every class already has two buffs and are about to get 2 more buffs and azreal can only

partially counter one of those buffs, think it's a solid plan.

Also that is assuming they all go into buffs, some would rather turn into skills like static charge

costing 0 ep and then doing there effect.

Example:

New bloodlust could be like...

2 turn cooldown

+0% dmg + 30% lifesteal 0EPcost

or something like that

The biggest problem I have with passives being taken away, is the whole reason they are useful is because they don't use a turn to activate. Think about it, Mineral Armor only gives 10 defense, but its always up, while Defense Matrix can easily get over 20, but costs energy and spends a turn activating it. If passives are taken away from Bounty hunters, for example, they will need HUGE buffs in other areas to compensate. I hope the devs leave at least 1 passive for each class, honestly they are what makes classes unique. @Bloodpact, your example for new bloodlust sounds alot like Frenzy, the nice thing about bloodlust has always been that it works on ALL attacks, not only blockable melee attacks. So to answer OP's question, the best way to avoid the negatives you describe would be to leave passives alone. The classes are the closest to being balanced they have ever been, only a few minor tweaks are needed, if anything. Devs, PLEASE listen to your players on this one, we've already lost half our players (as evidenced by the fact that we now only have 1 server ever active), if we lose half again, there WILL NOT be enough players left to make the game viable.

Numbers will be changed. Passives turning to actives doesn't mean their numbers remain the same, that doesn't even make sense as it is because passives would be rendered useless.

Also, keep the numbers of players quitting to yourself. ED/AE has more accurate data and the statistics have shown the opposite. Top level players may have quit but top is only minority.

+0% dmg + 30% lifesteal 0EPcost

that would be UP. not as good as frenzy, not nearly as good.
what they would hav 2 do is make it an unblockable hit giving 50% lifesteal at once. 2 turn cooldown and no energy cost. normal damage.

A) Frenzy cost ep left at around 10 ep useally

B) Frenzy have a 3 turn cooldown not 2 turn like my 1 second guestidea.

C) I gave so specific level to which level you would get 30% life steal at

That was just a rough idea of how passive -> actives would look.

Seriously, this is a good change. Passives are set up as skill point dumps in the current system. People are complaining about the change without even seeing its effects or having full understanding of the change itself.

@kd

I'm not complaining. I made this thread to make suggestions so that passives cannot be easily nerfed by azreal's aux

I'm more concerned about the 'DEVELOPER'S' re-bringing those Azreal weapons to credits/varium in-game every year (considering their seasonal rares) because everyone will get them eventually & make those Azreal cores valueless & pathetic thus making the entire ED experience boring non- variety creative. If it's money the game needs to make then they can just do new innovating weapons with other new special cores..

About this topic tho, lets just see what happens when these passives go to actives change take place & from their we can discuss more crystal clearly about what is or isn't good. Right now we should just hope it will make the game fairer for all.

@ elite tuga

They are bring those back in every year so everyone has a shot at them. as much as I would love to see these promo items go rare and never come back like all the other old promos did before omega, if they did that it would be giving paying players an unfair advantage over free to play players.

@ Mother

Sure I understand about giving others a chance but why does it have to be with Azreal's weapons, they are kind of OP amongst most weapons due to very good special core/s (their special promo weapons), why can't they go ULTRA/RARE & just make other nice weapons in replacement lol. I find it 'BIASED' that those weapons were promo while they were new & now everyone gets them free. That makes investors not want to buy Artix points with cash & instead just wait every year to get them for free (credits).

We were told that promos will be back next year, players were aware. It's not biased. They were aware of their decision and that they'll be in-game next year. I don't see a problem since people have still bought it.

Why wouldn't you want to invest in an advantage for a year??

These advantages raise your k/d exponentially.

    @ Trans

You don't see a problem but others may do like myself. Anyway we have different opinions lets just leave it at that I guess.

    @ Bloodpact

I agree that its worth it looking at it that way but on the other hand players like me like to feel unique from the rest to differentiate that's why we usually invest, but like this if promos continue to go seasonal rare rather than rare players might stop investing eventually for many reasons & wouldn't surprise me.
