i hav noticed many threads and complaints about glass cannons and abusers. so ive come up with an idea.

every 5 points of str you hav above 60 increases your chance to be blocked by 1/2%

every 5 points of support you hav above 60 increases your chance to be deflected by 1/2% and decreases chance for a crit by 1/4%

every 5 points of tec you hav above 60 decreases your resistance by 1

every 5 points of dex you hav above 60 decreases your defence by 1

I thought about a system like this back in Delta where only Health builds were punished. I'd like to give it a shot personally.

Thing is they reduced the amount of Def per PTS of Dex-Tech added

That would be a double nerf.

People with high health already have Super low Def-Res due to lack of stats in Tech-Dex.

Support doesn't increase deflections for a reason and the change was made to remove them from Tech (isn't that great now, with Support abusers?), Support increasing and decreasing Crits is... pointless, and you're nerfing defence which boosts glass cannons.

Doesn't fix anything but shifts the balance upside down, to the point where investing over 60 stat points (inc. weapon stats) would be bad.

How does that remove luck and abuse? Only makes Tech abusers stronger (Casters), Crits will still be as strong and deflection rate affects everyone. Furthermore, you'd have to balance out blocks to match deflections.

I didn't say I support what he suggested. I said I would support regulations to combat pure stat abuse like 100% dex tech mages and such. Those builds can still be used but a small penalty would incur. This would not kill builds as players were able to build around agility just fine but it did regulate very high hp builds. I've always said that I would choose to take agility back over what we have here in Omega but I would've like it more if other stats were penalized for being too high not just health.

Not supported in the least. This would just force people to use focus builds to avoid these and then people will scream once again to nerf focus to get people off of it. No just no.

Absolutely not, this would force everyone to use 5 Focus builds. Besides, increasing your support increases your chance to be deflected and decreases your crit chance while increasing it at the same time? I don't agree with this at all.

Pretty much what Isaiah said about focus builds.

Stat abuse builds are actually a lot of fun (had so much fun with dex caster BM back in Delta, as well as numerous other builds and I my current dex abuse merc).
Glass cannons aren't necessarily OP, it's Azrael's Mark that is. I still absolutely detest glass cannons because 1v1 is pretty boring with so many of them running around with their absolutely simple builds that require no strategy.

whats wrong with abusing a stat?
besides diminishing already prevents total str abuse etc.

I dont think there is anything wrong with abusing a stat. You can either abuse a stat, or focus. There isnt many other options. which is why we wont have variety in this game until we have more options.
