As far as custom avatars go, that is not going to happen. Only a select few are allowed a custom avatar. This has a lot to do with the amount of space it would require to store all of those custom avatars. This is also covered in the FAQ:

As far as linking your Master Account With your forum account, if you mean using you MA username as your forum username that also will not happen. Your name there is meant to be private. If you mean link it like you do your games that is an option but not high on the priority list to add. Although there are plans to make the Master Account System to be the"One Login to Rule Them All" do it may join it at that time but would be unlikely.
