I suggest to increase the time limit for the first turn from 15 to 20 seconds.

Each turn has a timer of 15 seconds. But for the first turn this is not enough because
the game has become very complex and the players need more time to study the
opponents, build a strategy and make their move. Also on the first turn the graphics
and everthing else is loading which produces lag and does cost time. I have seen alot
players missing their first turn maybe due that and sometimes I missed it myself.
Also alot players just do a random move because of that.

 No, players will get used to it fast after some games. This is not needed.

im with shran. some classes take more time to think about. like, when using a str merc, you go before caster tm or any super tank build.

I agree, would be nice with 5 extra seconds to study your opponent on your first turn :)
