Ever since Fire Scythe was implemented, I was not very amused. It's not that much different from Fireball or Bludgeon.

Actually, I suggest replacing it with a different skill called Decay. This skill will not have a weapon requirement.

Decay

Description: Curse your opponent causing his/her energy costs to increase by % for 3 turns.
Energy Required: 15 step 1 (24 at max)
Stat Required: 30 Strength step 1
Improves with: None
Animation: The mage raises its palm with a curved hand at its opponent and a dark gray spark flashes. Then the opponent becomes a gray silhouette for a second.

Level 1: 10% increase
Level 2: 15% increase
Level 3: 20 % increase
Level 4: 25 % increase
Level 5: 30% increase
Level 6: 35% increase
Level 7: 40 % increase
Level 8: 45% increase
Level 9: 50% increase
Level 10: 55% increase

it's very tactical but i think it's easy abusive..... maybe lower the %?
EDIT: and fire scythe has a good use if you know how to use it right and with wht build

Well, thank you for criticism. But I'll give you an example so you can get the feeling of the move.

If I used Decay (Level 1) and I got hit by Massacre (Max), the Massacre would cost 66 energy.

If I used Decay (MAX), the Massacre would cost about 93 energy...but if used against a smaller move like Plasma Bolt (Max), it'd be around 48. It may seem OP, but remember that I sacrificed one turn and 24 energy to use this move. Plus, people can avoid this move by using their gun, aux, bot, strike, or moves like Battery Backup or Static Charge.

yes but it could be a life saver and while the techmage could need 2 turns to either assimilate and plasma bolt or something

^I actually would give Fire Scythe to either BH, TLM, or Merc and make it into a Flamethrower instead.

and then rises my question, why not tactical merc or CH? they need an offensive attack
EDIT: actually, tacmerc have a really good offensive attack-> their multi... whicle CH skills aren't offensive at all

Not Supported, the skill the "Tech Mage" received is already good enough, neat idea though.

i love this actually, but instead of such high rates make them a little lower but have a more cursed affect maybe lasting 3 turns the max reaching 30-35% or so (i'm not the best at percentages so i don't know just how much that would be but i simply mean moderation) i think this could really be interesting :D
