So i think they should make it so that the toxic grenade icon below your health and energy should be taken out after the 3rd effect instead of until the users turn because some people get confused as to whether it still is in effect or not

 It's actually like that for a reason: It's still applied even after all its damage is done until the afflicted person's next turn to prevent someone from infinitely chaining toxic. This also applies with any debuffs in a similar fashion; it's there to prevent someone from being smoke every single turn of the fight because otherwise I could apply the debuff to someone and they would never be able to have their regular dex after turn 1 if I kept up enough energy to smoke repeatedly.

couldn't they just keep you from using it because im really confused whether or not its still in effect because im not good at keeping track of turns

 Part of strategy is keeping track of turns, though, especially if your opponent doesn't so you can catch them off guard.
