I think the basic bank system should have a credit holder because it makes sense to have a credit holder on it since it is a bank. The maximum credit that can be deposit into the bank is 50k and you can only upgrade it for 500 varium to increase the amount of credit you can store in your bank.

 It's Varium-only because it takes database space. To expand servers, you need real money and Credits aren't real money - for the same reason, expanding bag slots and changing your name remains a Varium-only perk, because you're taking more space in the database.

 ^^ I think he means to store credits into the bank with a max amount of credits that you can store. You can increase the credit amount by paying varium. That was my interpretation.

I don't see much of a point unless we can get interest through it.

 Oh, that? If you hope for interest as well, it's even more of a no. Interest means inflation, and that's how it works in RL too. AQ has Z-Token items which cost a lot - high level item costs 14K Tokens, and you can get 6K Tokens for... $20. Why? It has in-game drops and Housing interest, which bumps up the price this high. It's 1% a week, but still has caused quite an inflation.

Well they get the benefit but we get get benefits in epicduel as well since we can deposit credits why not it is entirely even.

 What benefit? Of paying $40 for one weapon? It uses Tokens, which are paid currency. Credit Bank would cause inflation, thus you would pay MORE for your weapons and cores. What would be the point of that? Bank takes time to return you interest, so if I didn't want to put my Credits in the Bank, I'd be forced to pay more. What's the point of that then?

You would NOT get free Credits. Item prices would go UP and you would pay MORE for everything. They don't get benefit in AQ - Housing always worked in that way and its purpose is NOT interest but additional equipment slots as well as special Paintings and Estates.
